NetSys vs. Integris
Integris grew the way much of the industry now grows: capital merges good regional MSPs into a national brand. That model has real advantages. It also changes what you are buying, and a mid sized business should understand the difference before signing.
The short answer
Integris is a national MSP formed by merging regional firms under private equity. NetSys is one firm under the same name since 1998. The service surface is comparable; the differences are continuity, what the base agreement includes, and month to month terms.
What Integris is
Integris launched in 2021 when four regional MSPs merged under private equity backing, then added further acquisitions, and was sold to OMERS Private Equity in late 2024. Today it runs from Cranbury, New Jersey with roughly six hundred employees, markets itself on local teams backed by national expertise, and rates highly on review platforms. It is a serious, fast-built national player.
Built by acquisition versus built by retention
Those are simply two different companies to be a client of. Integris assembled its client base by combining firms; NetSys assembled ours one engagement at a time since 1998 and keeps 98 percent of it each year. Neither path is wrong. But when ownership or platform decisions change above a rolled-up MSP, clients feel it, so it is fair to ask any acquired provider what has stayed constant for its longest customers.
Who owns your outcome
At NetSys the people accountable for your network are the owners of the practice, not managers reporting into a fund's operating plan. Your account manager hands you a cell number. The engineers who set up your environment are the ones who answer for it later. That continuity is the product.
The agreement itself
One month to month agreement carries cybersecurity, an engineer-answered helpdesk, privileged access and privileged identity management, disaster recovery planning with restores performed and timed, and an in-house AI practice for automation and custom builds. The industry standard remains a multi-year term with auto renewal. We think the pressure belongs on the provider.
Our commitments, and the questions to put to Integris
| The NetSys Group | Ask Integris | |
|---|---|---|
| Agreement | Month to month. Leave any time. | What is the contract term, and what does leaving early cost? |
| What the monthly fee includes | AI services, cybersecurity, managed IT with helpdesk, PAM, PIM and disaster recovery planning in one agreement | What exactly is included, and what shows up later as an add-on or project fee? |
| Privileged access (PAM and PIM) | Included, with published service pages describing the work | Is privileged access management in the base plan, or an add-on? |
| AI services | In-house practice: readiness assessments, Copilot rollouts, workflow automation, custom builds | Who does the AI work: their engineers, or a referral to someone else? |
| Disaster recovery | A written plan, plus restores that are performed and timed | When was a restore last tested, and can they show the timing? |
| Who answers | A NetSys engineer, plus a named account manager with a real cell number | Who picks up at 2 a.m.: an engineer, or a ticket queue? |
| Proof before you commit | Free on-site penetration test in our coverage areas | What do they show you before you sign? |
We make no claims about Integris's terms; their column asks what we would ask. Their side of the story is theirs to tell, and they may tell it well.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right Integris alternative?
When Integris is the better choice
Choose Integris if you want a fast-growing national platform with many local offices, formal enterprise processes, and the resources that come with institutional ownership.
When NetSys is the better choice
Choose NetSys if you want the firm itself to be the constant: same name since 1998, same accountability, a complete security-first stack in the base agreement, and no term holding you if we ever stop performing.
NetSys and Integris: FAQs
Is NetSys an alternative to Integris for a mid sized business?
Yes. The daily service surface is comparable: managed IT, helpdesk, cybersecurity, cloud and compliance support delivered remotely with on-site work where needed. The structural differences are the ones on this page: ownership and continuity, what the base agreement includes, and month to month terms against the industry's multi-year norm.
Why does provider ownership matter to a client?
Because service models follow owners. When a provider changes hands, toolstacks, account teams and pricing structures often change with it, and the client experiences that as churn they never asked for. The fair question for any provider, us included, is what has stayed the same for your ten longest-standing clients. Our answer: the owners, the phone number, and the month to month terms.
Can NetSys take over from a national MSP cleanly?
Yes, and we do it as a documented process: credential and documentation handover, backup verification before cutover, then parallel monitoring so nothing goes dark between providers. Larger providers usually offboard professionally; the risks live in undocumented corners, which is exactly what the transition checklist exists to find.
