NetSys vs. Charter Technology Solutions
Charter Technology Solutions lists eight office locations on its contact page and publishes staff numbers and operating figures on its Stamford page. That is a lot to read before a first call, and it is worth reading. This page sets their published positions beside ours, dimension by dimension, so you can see where the two firms part company.
The short answer
Charter Technology Solutions sells managed IT in three named tiers, so the first thing to settle is which tier you would be buying, because that decides everything else. If you want a plan you can start small and step up later, and an office in Stamford or Hartford, they are built for exactly that. NetSys sells one agreement with the security work already inside it, month to month, with no tier to pick.
What Charter Technology Solutions is
Charter Technology Solutions was founded in 2010 by Sachin Gujral and lists eight locations on its contact page, among them Manhattan, Brooklyn, Melville, Boston, Stamford and Hartford, six of them with a direct phone number. Their Stamford page states 15-plus years as a managed services provider, 65-plus IT professionals on staff, and inclusion on CRN's 2024 and 2025 MSP 500 Pioneer 250 list. The managed IT offering is organized into Core, Cyber+ and Advisory+. Separate pages cover Managed Microsoft Copilot, backup and disaster recovery, and network penetration testing.
Published headquarters: New York, NY, the Manhattan office (60 East 42nd St) is listed first on their contact page; the site does not label any one location as headquarters. charterts.com
Three tiers versus one agreement
Their Stamford page describes Core as end-user help desk, SaaS application support, automated onboarding and offboarding, endpoint monitoring, network management and managed backups. The dedicated cybersecurity advisor with monthly posture review calls and annual risk assessments sits up in Advisory+. So the security depth you get follows the tier you sign, which is a normal and defensible way to sell managed IT: buy what you need now, step up later. Our agreement is arranged the other way. Cybersecurity, help desk, privileged access management, privileged identity management and disaster recovery planning are all in the base.
Published averages and written commitments
Their IT support page publishes real operating numbers: average ticket response under 20 minutes, first-touch resolution above 75 percent, more than 25,000 tickets reviewed and resolved, and satisfaction above 95 percent. Publishing figures like that is a choice, and a buyer should give them credit for making it. The distinction worth holding onto is that an average describes what has happened, while a service level commitment is a term you can hold somebody to when it does not happen. We could not find the SLA language behind those averages published, so ask for it. Ours goes into the agreement rather than onto the website.
Compliance ranges that overlap unevenly
Their managed cybersecurity page names HIPAA, CMMC, PCI DSS, GLBA, SOX, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, the FTC Safeguards Rule, and New York State Education Law 2-D Part 121. That last one is genuinely specialized. If you run a school district or an education nonprofit in New York, 2-D governs your student data, and seeing it named on a provider's page is a good sign for you. Our nine framework pages cover a different edge of the same problem, with NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500 and NY SHIELD alongside HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.

What we looked for on their site and could not find
contract length or cancellation terms; privileged access, privileged identity management or managed credentials.
That means we did not find it published, not that it does not exist. Ask them directly, and ask us the same questions. If Charter Technology Solutions publishes any of this and we missed it, write to info@netsysgroup.com and we will add it.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right Charter Technology Solutions alternative?
When Charter Technology Solutions is the better choice
Go with Charter Technology Solutions when you want a provider with an office in Stamford and another in Hartford, with 65-plus IT professionals published behind the account and the option to add the advisory layer when you are ready for it. If you are a New York school district or an education nonprofit, seeing Education Law 2-D Part 121 named on their cybersecurity page is a specific reason to call them ahead of a general-purpose provider. Their backup page also publishes a documented 30-day recovery plan with regular drills.
When NetSys is the better choice
Pick us if you would rather not choose a tier at all. Everything we do sits in one month-to-month agreement, security included, with privileged access management and privileged identity management in the base rather than on an upgrade path, and monitoring running 24/7 behind all of it. You get a named account manager who hands out a real cell number, and an engineer answering the help desk. That is how we have run it since 1998, independent the whole way.
NetSys and Charter Technology Solutions: FAQs
What does Charter Technology Solutions include in each tier?
Their Stamford managed IT page names three tiers: Core, Cyber+ and Advisory+. Core is published as end-user help desk, SaaS application support, automated onboarding and offboarding, endpoint monitoring, network management and managed backups. Advisory+ is published as including a dedicated cybersecurity advisor with monthly posture review calls and annual risk assessments, and their IT support page lists annual assessments and quarterly reviews under strategic technology planning in the Total Care package. Work out which tier your requirements land in before you compare them with anybody, because that decides the comparison.
Is there a Charter Technology Solutions alternative for a Stamford business?
The deciding question is whether you want to buy in tiers at all. NetSys does not sell them. We are a Brooklyn firm with Connecticut inside our on-site coverage area, selling a single month-to-month agreement instead of a ladder, with the security work, the privileged account controls and the AI practice already in the base. Charter Technology Solutions has a Stamford address and publishes 65-plus IT professionals behind it. Decide first whether tiers or a fixed scope suits the way your company buys, then compare the firms.
What happens if we want to leave a managed IT agreement early?
With NetSys, nothing happens. The agreement is month to month with no early-exit penalty, so leaving costs you a month of notice and nothing more. Contract length and cancellation terms were not something we could find published on Charter Technology Solutions' site, so request the term, the notice period and the renewal language in writing before you sign anything. Ask for it in an email rather than on a call, and keep the reply.
Does Charter Technology Solutions do penetration testing?
Yes. They publish a network penetration testing page describing full network discovery and analysis, real-world attack simulations including social engineering and phishing, audit-ready reporting and prioritized remediation roadmaps, and the page asks visitors to request a quote or book a consultation. Ours works differently at the entry point: the Tier 1 external test costs nothing for any business, and you own the findings whether or not anything follows. A Tier 2 source code test runs in an isolated sandbox, quoted per codebase.
