Anthropic Claude Consulting and Business Implementation
Claude consulting is help choosing, setting up and running Anthropic's Claude inside a company: Claude Team or Claude Enterprise, a workspace under company identity, rules for which connectors and data each role may use, workflows for the people who will use it, a pilot, training and administration afterward. NetSys delivers that as a scoped implementation for small and mid-sized companies, with the security boundaries written down before anyone connects a mailbox or a file store.
The short answer
Claude consulting means implementing Anthropic's Claude for a business: picking Claude Team or Claude Enterprise from the controls you need, putting the workspace under company identity, deciding which connectors and data each role may use, building workflows in Projects, Skills and Claude Cowork, running a pilot, training staff and administering the workspace afterward. NetSys does this as a scoped engagement and then runs the workspace month to month. Whether Claude is the right tool at all is the vendor-neutral question our AI consulting page answers.
Closest related page: AI consulting, vendor-neutral. That page decides where AI fits and which tool suits each task across Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and custom builds; this page is the implementation once Claude is the choice: plan, workspace, connectors, workflows, pilot, training and administration.
Owners, operations leads and IT managers at small and mid-sized companies where staff already use Claude on personal accounts, or where leadership has picked Claude and wants it set up properly. Professional services, finance, distributors, nonprofits and medical practices ask the same questions in different words: which plan, who owns the account, what Claude may read, and who keeps it running.
The names cause confusion before the work starts. Claude Pro and Claude Max are individual subscriptions. Claude Team is the company plan for 2 to 150 seats, and Claude Enterprise is the plan above it, with a 20-seat minimum and usage billed at API rates, as of October 2026. Claude Cowork and Claude Code are included in both company plans; neither is a separate license. NetSys is not Anthropic and not Anthropic's consulting arm; we are an independent IT and security company that implements Claude for the businesses we support.
Plan, identity, data rules, then people
The first call settles the use case and the measure of success: which recurring work Claude should take on and how you will know it helped. We then choose the plan from the controls you need rather than the seat price, create the organization under a company-owned account, connect single sign-on and claim the domain so access ends when someone leaves. Connectors come next, read-only by default, with the Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace permissions reviewed before an owner grants consent. Only then do we build the workflows: Projects with instructions and knowledge per team, Skills for repeated tasks, Claude Cowork for multi-step work, and Claude Code for developers. A pilot group uses it for real work, staff are trained by role, and the workspace is administered month to month.
What Claude consulting and implementation include
Plan selection and seats
The controls decide the plan, not the sticker price.
- Claude Team or Claude Enterprise chosen from the controls you need: SCIM, audit logs, custom data retention and the HIPAA-ready configuration are Enterprise features as of October 2026
- Standard and premium Team seats mixed by role, since premium seats carry more usage and limits cannot be pooled between members
- Enterprise usage budgeted at API rates, with admin spend limits set per organization and per user
- Personal Pro and Max subscriptions found and moved into the organization, or kept apart deliberately, with the data that does and does not migrate explained to each person
Workspace setup and identity
A company-owned account with sign-in you control.
- Organization created under a company-owned primary owner account, with a second owner named for recovery
- Single sign-on through your identity provider, domain capture and just-in-time provisioning, and SCIM on Enterprise
- Roles assigned: who may add connectors, publish skills, manage members and see usage
- Admin settings documented, so your security owner can read what is on and off without logging in
Connectors and data rules
Read-only first, write access per tool and per group.
- A written data rule per team: which information may go into Claude, which never may, and where a person reviews the output
- Microsoft 365, Google Drive, Slack and GitHub connectors enabled by an owner only after the permissions they request are read line by line
- The Microsoft 365 connector left read-only by default; write tools consented and enabled only for named groups with a reason
- Custom MCP connectors reviewed before enabling, with fixed credentials avoided where one secret would be shared by the whole organization
Workflows by role
Claude inside the work, not in a side window.
- Projects per team with instructions and a knowledge base, shared with view or edit rights
- Skills for the repeated tasks: a proposal format, a weekly report, a review checklist
- Claude Cowork for multi-step work on files and connected systems, with approvals set to ask before acting
- Claude Code for developers, scoped on its own page
Pilot and training handoff
Proof on real work before the whole company joins.
- A pilot group of real users, a success measure and a review date, agreed in writing
- Training by role on the workflows built for that role, with the data rules taught alongside the features
- Usage and feedback reviewed with the pilot group, then a go, adjust or stop decision
- Rollout to the rest of the company in waves, with the same training per role
Ongoing administration
Someone owns the workspace after go-live.
- Joiners, leavers and seat changes handled through identity, so access ends the day someone leaves
- Connector requests reviewed against the data rules, and the register of approved connectors kept current
- Usage, spend limits and seat types reviewed each month against what the plan assumed
- Anthropic's plan and feature changes read and applied, and staff questions answered by the NetSys help desk
Why companies choose NetSys to implement Claude
Tell us how many people would use Claude, which systems they would want it to read, and whether anyone already pays for Pro or Max. A NetSys engineer will tell you which plan fits, what the setup would cover and what you would need to decide first.
Who does the work: meet the NetSys team on our About page.
- Delivered work: Claude apps, dashboards and reporting roundups for a lean team, and a Copilot and Claude rollout for 25 employees with usage policies, connector access controls and staff training
- A cybersecurity firm doing the setup, so identity, connectors and data rules come before features
- Vendor-neutral advice first: if Copilot or ChatGPT fits the task better, we say so
- The same engineers run your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant, so connector permissions are set by people who already know it
- Help desk seven days a week, 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern, for the staff questions that follow a rollout
- In business since 1998, from one office in Brooklyn, on month-to-month agreements

Claude Team vs Claude Enterprise: what a company should compare
Prices and features as printed on Anthropic's pricing and support pages on October 17, 2026. They can change; the sources are listed at the end of this page:
| Claude Team | Claude Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|
| Seats | 2 to 150 | 20 minimum self-serve, 50 through sales; a company above 150 seats needs Enterprise |
| Seat price | Standard $20 per seat per month billed annually or $25 monthly; premium $100 or $125 | $20 per seat per month billed annually; annual only |
| Usage | Per-member limits: standard seats 1.25x and premium 6.25x the Pro allowance, with weekly caps that cannot be pooled | Billed at API rates on actual use with no included allowance; admin spend limits per organization and per user |
| Identity | SSO, domain capture, just-in-time provisioning, role-based permissions | Adds SCIM and custom roles |
| Oversight | Admin controls, central billing, spend caps | Audit logs, Compliance API, Analytics API, OpenTelemetry monitoring |
| Data controls | Not used for training by default; deleted conversations gone from back-end storage within 30 days | Adds custom data retention, IP allowlisting, customer-managed encryption keys and US-only inference |
| HIPAA | Not available | HIPAA-ready configuration with a BAA, accepted by the Primary Owner; a one-way decision |
| Included tools | Chat, Projects, Skills, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, connectors | The same, plus Claude Security (beta); also sold through AWS Marketplace |
Longer comparisons: Claude Team vs Enterprise: what a company should compare · Claude pricing for a business: seats, usage and implementation.
NetSys publishes none of its own prices. The plan is chosen from the controls you need: a small firm with no audit or BAA obligation usually starts on Team, and a practice that handles patient data cannot enable the HIPAA configuration on Team.
What the Claude implementation includes, and what it does not
The scope is written before work starts, so a recommendation is never mistaken for something already configured.
| Area | Included | Not included |
|---|---|---|
| Plan and seats | Plan recommendation, seat types by role, and the sign-up done under your company account | Anthropic's subscription fees and usage charges, which you pay Anthropic directly |
| Identity | SSO, domain capture, provisioning and roles configured in Claude and in your Entra ID or Google tenant | A new identity platform, if the company has none |
| Connectors | Permission review, owner consent, read-only defaults and a register of approved connectors | Custom MCP server development, which has its own page |
| Workflows | Projects, Skills and Cowork workflows for the roles in the pilot, documented | Custom applications or agents built on the Claude API |
| Training | Role-based sessions for the pilot group and the rollout waves | A company-wide training program, which the Claude training page covers |
| Security review | Admin settings checked against your AI usage policy | A full AI security assessment, which is a separate scope |
| Administration | Month to month after go-live, under a managed agreement | Legal review of Anthropic's terms or a BAA, which stays with your counsel |
Related scopes: AI security assessment of identity, connectors, data and permissions · Managed AI services and workspace administration.
Where a company also runs ChatGPT or Copilot, the administration of all of them can sit under one managed AI services agreement.
How a Claude rollout runs
The same sequence for a six-person firm and a 120-seat company; only the number of rollout waves changes:
- Use case and measure: the recurring work Claude should take on, and how you will judge the result.
- Plan and ownership: Team or Enterprise chosen from the controls you need; the organization created under a company-owned primary owner.
- Identity: single sign-on, domain capture and provisioning connected, roles assigned, and personal accounts on your domain found.
- Data rules: a one-page rule per team on what may and may not go into Claude, reviewed by your counsel where client or patient data is involved.
- Connectors: permissions read, consent granted by an owner, read-only by default, write tools for named groups only.
- Workflows: Projects, Skills and Cowork set up for the pilot roles, with approvals set to ask before acting.
- Pilot: real work for an agreed period, usage reviewed, then a go, adjust or stop decision.
- Rollout and handoff: training per role, the admin settings documented, and administration continued month to month.
Timing depends on how many systems connect and how quickly owners grant consent; dates go in the proposal, not on this page.
Who owns what after go-live
Accountability is what turns a workspace into a program. Each role is named in writing at kickoff:
| Role | Usually held by | Accountable for |
|---|---|---|
| Primary owner | The business owner or a senior manager | Billing, the BAA where one applies, and the final say on connectors and policy |
| Team owners | The manager of each team that uses Claude | That team's Projects, Skills and data rule |
| IT and security | NetSys, your IT lead, or both | Identity, connector consent, admin settings, usage and the monthly review |
| Counsel | Your in-house or outside counsel | Anthropic's terms, the BAA and client confidentiality questions |
| Every member | Everyone with a seat | Following the data rule and checking Claude's output before it leaves the company |
One person often holds more than one role in a small company. Each role still gets a name.
What moves the quote
NetSys publishes no price list for implementation; projects are quoted after a scoping call. These are the factors:
| Factor | Why it moves the price |
|---|---|
| Seats and teams | Each team needs its own data rule, Projects and training |
| Identity | An existing Entra ID or Google tenant with single sign-on in place is quicker than one without |
| Connectors | Every connected system adds a permission review and an owner decision |
| Compliance | HIPAA, client confidentiality or an insurer's questionnaire add review steps and Enterprise controls |
| Personal accounts | Moving existing Pro and Max work into the organization takes planning per person |
| Administration | Ongoing administration runs month to month, separate from the setup |
Anthropic's seat and usage charges are paid to Anthropic and appear as a separate line in the proposal at the rate Anthropic publishes at the time.

Claude Consulting FAQs
What is Claude consulting, and is it the same as Anthropic consulting?
People search for Anthropic consulting and Claude consulting meaning the same thing: help implementing Anthropic's Claude in a business. NetSys provides that help as an independent IT and cybersecurity company. We are not Anthropic, not Anthropic's consulting arm and not a reseller; Anthropic sells the plans, and we choose the plan, set up the workspace, write the data rules, build the workflows, train staff and administer the workspace afterward.
Should a company choose Claude Team or Claude Enterprise?
Choose from the controls you need. Both have SSO, domain capture, admin controls, Claude Code, Cowork, Projects and connectors. Enterprise adds SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom data retention, IP allowlisting, custom roles and the HIPAA-ready configuration, and bills usage at API rates instead of per-seat limits, as of October 2026 (https://claude.com/pricing and https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9797531-what-is-the-enterprise-plan). A firm that must produce audit logs for a client or sign a BAA needs Enterprise; most small firms without those obligations start on Team.
How much is Claude Enterprise, and how much is the Claude Team plan?
As printed on October 17, 2026: Claude Team standard seats are $20 per seat per month billed annually or $25 billed monthly, premium seats $100 or $125; Claude Enterprise is $20 per seat per month billed annually with usage billed on top at API rates, and sales-assisted plans add invoicing (https://claude.com/pricing and https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9266767-what-is-the-team-plan). Those are Anthropic's prices, paid to Anthropic. NetSys quotes its implementation and administration separately after a scoping call and publishes no price list.
What is the Claude Enterprise minimum, and how many users does Claude Team need?
Claude Team requires a minimum of two members and supports up to 150 seats; more than 150 requires Enterprise. Claude Enterprise has a 20-seat minimum when bought self-serve and a 50-seat minimum through sales, as of October 2026 (https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9266767-what-is-the-team-plan and https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9797531-what-is-the-enterprise-plan). For a company below 20 people that needs Enterprise controls, the practical point is budgeting: the 20-seat minimum sets the floor of the annual bill regardless of headcount, and we work that trade-off through in the plan recommendation.
What are the Claude Team usage limits, and what does a premium seat add?
On Team, each member has their own allowance: standard seats get 1.25 times the Pro per-session allowance and premium seats 6.25 times, each with a weekly cap across all models, and limits cannot be pooled or transferred between members, as of October 2026 (https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9266767-what-is-the-team-plan). Premium seats are a usage tier, not a Claude Code license: Claude Code is included in every paid plan (https://claude.com/pricing). We mix seat types by role, giving premium seats to the people who run Cowork or Claude Code all day.
Staff already have Claude Pro or Max. Can those accounts join the Team plan?
Yes, if the personal account uses the same email address as the organization. On joining, the person can keep both accounts, or move chats, Projects, uploads and memory into the organization and close the personal account, with the Pro or Max subscription refunded pro rata. Custom skills do not migrate, connected apps must be re-authorized, and public share links stop working permanently (https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9267400-move-your-personal-claude-account-to-a-team-or-enterprise-organization). We plan this per person before the invitation goes out.
Does Claude train on our company's data?
Not by default on the commercial plans. Anthropic's privacy center states that inputs and outputs from its commercial products, which include Team, Enterprise and the API, are not used for model training unless you opt in, for example by submitting feedback (https://privacy.claude.com/en/articles/7996868-is-my-data-used-for-model-training). Deleted conversations leave back-end storage within 30 days, and Enterprise adds custom retention controls (https://privacy.claude.com/en/articles/7996866-how-long-do-you-store-my-organization-s-data). Personal Free, Pro and Max accounts follow a separate consumer policy, which is one reason company work belongs in the company workspace.
What does ongoing Claude administration cover after the rollout?
Joiners and leavers through identity, seat and spend reviews each month, connector requests checked against the data rules, Anthropic's plan and feature changes read and applied, and staff questions answered by the NetSys help desk, seven days a week from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern. It runs month to month under a managed agreement. Companies that also run ChatGPT or Copilot can put all of it under one managed AI services agreement.
Do we need the Claude Enterprise API or an API key to use Claude in the business?
Not for chat, Projects, Cowork or Claude Code: those run on the seat. An API key from the Claude Platform is for software you build, such as a custom application or agent, and is billed by usage separately from the seats. Claude Enterprise also exposes a Compliance API and an Analytics API for exporting activity and usage data, which are administration tools rather than ways for staff to use Claude (https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9797531-what-is-the-enterprise-plan). If you want Claude built into your own systems, custom AI applications and MCP development are the pages for that.
