NetSys vs. BCA IT
BCA IT runs four Florida offices, one of them in Tampa, and its Tampa page states the company has been servicing businesses since 1990. It also publishes something most providers keep inside the contract: a scope document that names the exclusions. That document is the best place to start this comparison.
The short answer
For a Tampa Bay company that wants people nearby, BCA IT publishes a staffed Tampa office, bilingual English and Spanish support, and desk metrics on the same page. NetSys is the better answer when the security stack and the terms matter more than the drive time, with privileged access and identity management in the base agreement, a free external penetration test to start, and month to month terms with no notice period.
What BCA IT is
BCA IT describes itself as family owned and operated, with more than thirty years in the IT and ERP business, serving hundreds of small and medium sized companies across South Florida. Four offices are published, in Doral, Brickell, Tampa and Orlando, each with named city lists, and the Tampa region list takes in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon and Wesley Chapel. Their Tampa page publishes two operating numbers, a four second average call waiting time and a 94.6 percent same day resolution rate, and states that support is delivered in English and Spanish. Five industries are named on the home page.

The scope document and its exclusions
Their TOTALCare scope page defines the included tasks, sets a maintenance window of 11PM to 4AM, and names the exclusions: projects, line of business applications including ERP, accounting and CRM systems, reconfiguration work, end user training, and equipment or software past end of life. An exclusions list is worth more to a buyer than a features list, because it is the part people find out about later. NetSys puts one agreement in front of you covering AI work, cybersecurity, managed IT with help desk, privileged access and identity management, and disaster recovery planning, with the quote stating what sits outside it.
Two AI practices, aimed differently
Their Managed AI Services page publishes a readiness assessment, a data readiness review, a security and access control review, usage policy development and a Copilot readiness evaluation, and it names ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity as tools it addresses. That is governance work, and a company whose staff are already pasting client data into chatbots needs exactly that. The NetSys practice under Jamie Baum covers the same ground and then builds on it, with custom agents and the unglamorous integration work that makes a rollout hold. The distinction to keep hold of is between writing the policy and building the thing the policy governs.
What the Tampa page measures
Publishing a four second average call wait and a 94.6 percent same day resolution rate is a choice most firms avoid, and it tells you what that desk is built to optimize. Written response commitments by priority level are not something our search of their site turned up, which is the other half of the picture, since a fast answer and a fast fix are different promises. NetSys writes response commitments into the agreement rather than onto the website, and the person who picks up is an engineer, with a named account manager behind them.
What each of us publishes
Their column is quoted from pages on bcainc.com and links to each one. Ours states what we commit to elsewhere on this site. Nothing below is our opinion of their work.

Four more things worth knowing about BCA IT
Size and history
- Their about page describes the company as family-owned and operated, states over 30 years of experience in the IT and ERP industry, and says it serves hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses throughout South Florida. (bcainc.com)
- Their Tampa location page states the company has been servicing businesses since 1990. (bcainc.com)
NetSys: Independent since 1998. One office, in Brooklyn, and no private equity owner behind the name.
Industries they name
- Their home page names five target industries: accounting and financial firms, construction, healthcare and medical offices, law firms, and manufacturing and distribution. (bcainc.com)
NetSys: Twenty six industries with a page each, from healthcare and legal to hedge funds, auto dealers and government contractors.
Compliance work published
- Their Managed Compliance as a Service page names PCI, HIPAA and GDPR as client frameworks and lists a gap-identifying evaluation plus compliance monitoring, due diligence audits, and automated analytics and reporting. (bcainc.com)
NetSys: Nine frameworks with a service page each: HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, NY SHIELD, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.
Rates on the website
- Their managed services page describes a predictable, flat monthly fee model, and a blog post on their site publishes general market ranges for the Miami area presented as rates across MSPs rather than as BCA's own rates. (bcainc.com)
NetSys: We do not publish rates. We quote per business rather than per seat, after a call, because a thirty person firm with two servers and a thirty person firm with a regulator are not the same job.
What we looked for on their site and could not find
privileged access, privileged identity management or managed credentials; response-time commitments.
That means we did not find it published, not that it does not exist. Ask them directly, and ask us the same questions. If BCA IT publishes any of this and we missed it, write to info@netsysgroup.com and we will add it.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right BCA IT alternative?
When BCA IT is the better choice
A Tampa Bay business that wants a provider with a Florida address and staff who can be in the building the same day should call BCA IT, and so should a bilingual workplace, since they publish support in English and Spanish. The scope page makes them a good fit for a company running ERP or accounting systems, where the boundary between IT support and application support has to be written down somewhere before it is argued about.
When NetSys is the better choice
NetSys earns the call when security is the reason you are shopping. Privileged access and privileged identity management sit in the base agreement, nine compliance frameworks have a page and a practice each, and any business can start with a free Tier 1 external penetration test whose findings are theirs either way. Florida is inside our published on site coverage, delivery is remote anywhere in the United States, and the agreement runs month to month.
NetSys and BCA IT: FAQs
Can a Brooklyn firm support a business in Tampa Bay?
Yes, and it is worth being specific about how. Monitoring, patching, help desk, cloud administration, security operations and incident response run remotely from our systems, which is how every provider in this market delivers the daily work. Florida is inside our published on site coverage for the days that need hands. If your environment needs someone in the building most weeks, hire locally and be glad of it. If it needs someone senior on the phone at midnight, that is the case for us.
What does BCA IT's TOTALCare plan include?
Their managed IT services page lists unlimited 24/7 help desk support, proactive monitoring and maintenance, on site support, cloud services across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Azure, cybersecurity protection, managed compliance as a service, backup and disaster recovery, co-managed IT and a virtual CIO. The separate scope page then defines the tasks, the 11PM to 4AM maintenance window and the exclusions, and points to an Exhibit B under the service agreement for the rest. Read both pages together before you compare anyone.
What are the contract terms, and how does switching work?
NetSys agreements are month to month, with no minimum term, no notice period and no early exit penalty. We searched their site for contract length and cancellation terms and could not find those published, and their scope page refers to an Exhibit B under the service agreement, so ask for both documents before you sign either. The move itself is staged rather than flipped. Monitoring runs in parallel, backups get verified before anything is cut over, and nothing goes dark between two providers.
Is NetSys a BCA IT alternative for a Tampa Bay company?
Yes, with distance as the honest caveat. Florida sits inside the NetSys on site coverage area, and the daily work is remote at every provider in this market, but a firm with a Tampa office will beat us to a desk on a Tuesday morning. What NetSys brings instead is security depth: privileged access and identity management in the base agreement, nine compliance frameworks with a page each, a free external penetration test, and terms that end whenever you decide.
