NetSys vs. Entech
Entech runs out of Fort Myers, states on its about page that it has served Florida for 28 years, and lists five office addresses across the state. NetSys is a Brooklyn firm that covers Florida on-site. What follows is both sets of published facts, read against each other.
The short answer
If the deciding factor is engineers who can be standing in your Fort Myers server room this afternoon, Entech publishes five Florida addresses and we publish one office in Brooklyn, and that answer goes to them. If the deciding factor is what sits inside the monthly agreement, look at privileged access management, privileged identity management and the contract term, none of which we could find published on their site. Those are two different purchases and only you know which one you are making.
What Entech is
Entech runs from Fort Myers with further offices listed in Bradenton, Bonita Springs, Naples and Fort Lauderdale, and its About page cites 28 years serving Florida and more than 500 businesses supported. The managed IT page covers around-the-clock threat alerting on workstations and servers, automated patching for Microsoft and third-party applications, help desk support described as carrying SLA-backed response times, and virtual CIO work on budgeting and long-term technology decisions. They also publish a dedicated AI services page and a risk and compliance page organized by industry.

Five Florida addresses against one Brooklyn office
Geography is the honest first question for a Southwest Florida buyer, so start there. Entech publishes street addresses in Bradenton, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Naples and Fort Lauderdale. NetSys publishes one office, in Brooklyn, with Florida inside our on-site coverage area rather than around the corner from it. If your servers sit in a closet in Fort Myers and you want somebody in front of that closet within the hour, their footprint answers better than ours. A lot of this work runs remotely either way, so the real question is how often you need hands on hardware.
Two AI practices, built for different jobs
This dimension is a strength of theirs and it deserves saying plainly. Their AI services page names five offerings, and the one that stands out is AI Governance and Risk Alignment, sitting alongside Microsoft-Native AI Enablement for Copilot deployment and Azure AI activation. The governance piece earns its place when a board wants written rules for how staff may use these tools before anybody turns them on. Our practice runs in-house under Jamie Baum, our Head Implementation Manager, and leans toward construction rather than policy, meaning agents and automation wired into a specific workflow. Ask both firms to show you something they shipped and what changed after.
Recovery planning in a hurricane market
Southwest Florida is one of the few places where disaster recovery stops being a hypothetical line item on a proposal. Entech publishes cloud-based business continuity and disaster recovery, automated backups across all cloud workloads, and states that backup testing is performed regularly, which is the sentence worth hunting for on any provider's site. We publish a written plan plus restores that are performed and timed, and we have handled more than 30 ransomware incidents in three years with every one fully recovered. Whichever way you go, make the provider tell you the date of the last full restore test and how long it ran.
What each of us publishes
Their column is quoted from pages on entechus.com and links to each one. Ours states what we commit to elsewhere on this site. Nothing below is our opinion of their work.

Entech appears here because it came up in the search results for IT services in Southwest Florida when we checked in September 2026. Everything in their column is drawn from pages published on https://www.entechus.com/ and links to the source. Where we could not find something published we say so, which means we did not find it, not that it does not exist. We make no claim about the quality of their service. All trademarks belong to their owners and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Four more things worth knowing about Entech
Size and history
- Their About page states the company has been serving Florida for 28 years and cites 500+ businesses supported. (entechus.com)
NetSys: Independent since 1998. One office, in Brooklyn, and no private equity owner behind the name.
Industries they name
- Their industries page names ten verticals: Private Membership Clubs, Manufacturing, Non-Profits, Private Education, Construction, Legal, Architecture & Engineering, Financial Firms, Government, and Healthcare. (entechus.com)
NetSys: Twenty six industries with a page each, from healthcare and legal to hedge funds, auto dealers and government contractors.
Compliance work published
- Their risk and compliance page names the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CMMC, CIS Critical Security Controls, GLBA, and SOC 2, organized by industry, and lists a Risk & Compliance Gap Assessment as a service. (entechus.com)
NetSys: Nine frameworks with a service page each: HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, NY SHIELD, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.
Rates on the website
- Their managed IT services page describes how pricing is structured, stating it is scoped by users, devices, and service level. (entechus.com)
NetSys: We do not publish rates. We quote per business rather than per seat, after a call, because a thirty person firm with two servers and a thirty person firm with a regulator are not the same job.
What we looked for on their site and could not find
contract length or cancellation terms; privileged access, privileged identity management or managed credentials.
That means we did not find it published, not that it does not exist. Ask them directly, and ask us the same questions. If Entech publishes any of this and we missed it, write to info@netsysgroup.com and we will add it.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right Entech alternative?
When Entech is the better choice
Entech is the better call if you are in Southwest Florida and want engineers who can drive to you, particularly if you sit in one of the ten verticals their industries page names, among them private membership clubs, manufacturing, private education, construction and healthcare. Their risk and compliance page maps NIST CSF, CMMC, CIS Controls, GLBA and SOC 2 by industry and lists a gap assessment as a service, and the virtual CIO work covers budget planning as well as day-to-day support.
When NetSys is the better choice
NetSys earns the work when privileged accounts are the problem. Domain administrator credentials and forgotten vendor logins are what an attacker goes looking for first, and privileged access management and privileged identity management sit in our base agreement with a service page each. Add month-to-month terms with no early-exit penalty, plus a free Tier 1 external penetration test, and the report is yours to keep even if you never call again. Florida is inside our on-site coverage area.
NetSys and Entech: FAQs
What does Entech include in its managed IT service?
Their managed IT services page publishes around-the-clock threat alerting on workstations and servers, automated patching for Microsoft and third-party applications, help desk support across locations and devices with SLA-backed response times, and virtual CIO services covering budgeting, planning and long-term technology decisions. The published entry point is a Strategy Session, described as a short conversation to work out whether they can help, with an IT environment review or a compliance readiness review named as possible next steps. We could not find the contract length published, so ask for it early.
Is there an Entech alternative that covers Southwest Florida?
Yes. NetSys covers Florida on-site from a single office in Brooklyn, with remote delivery anywhere in the United States, and sells one month-to-month agreement with the security and privileged account work inside it rather than beside it. The trade is plain. Entech publishes five Florida addresses and we publish none in the state, so if weekly on-site hands are part of your requirement, weigh that first. If depth on security and identity is the requirement, weigh that first instead.
What are NetSys contract terms, and how do they compare with Entech's?
NetSys is month to month, with no long-term contract and no early-exit penalty, so the agreement has to earn its keep every thirty days. We searched Entech's site for contract length and cancellation terms and could not find them published, which is common in this industry and is not a mark against them. Get the term and the cost of leaving early in writing from every firm on your list, then read that clause first. It decides how much attention you get once the honeymoon ends.
Does Entech publish an AI practice?
Yes, and the page is unusually specific for a service page. It names AI Strategy and Use Development, AI Governance and Risk Alignment, AI Agents and Workforce Automation, AI Performance and Executive Reporting, and Microsoft-Native AI Enablement, with Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment and Azure AI activation referenced directly. NetSys runs its own under Jamie Baum, weighted toward implementation: getting Copilot into a tenant properly, then building agents into work people already do every day. Both are real. The difference is where the weight sits: theirs toward governance and executive reporting, ours toward getting something into production.
Get both answers in writing.
Fifteen minutes with a NetSys engineer, not a salesperson, and you will have our side of every question on this page in writing. Take it into any comparison you like.
