NetSys vs. Fisch Solutions
Fisch Solutions ranks first in Orange County for managed IT searches, and this is one of the closer comparisons we have written. Their published positions run next to ours on the dimensions a buyer checks: the agreement, the AI work, who answers the phone, and what happens when a restore is needed.
The short answer
The split here is geography and stack. Fisch Solutions publishes several Hudson Valley locations, a fleet of service vehicles, an in-house team and a vCIO who contacts you at least twice a month; if that kind of local presence in Orange County is what you want, take it. NetSys is the better answer when privileged access controls, nine published compliance frameworks and a month to month agreement with no exit penalty are what you are shopping for.
What Fisch Solutions is
Fisch Solutions runs from New Windsor, on Route 9W in Orange County. Their home page states the company was founded in 2006 by Jason Fisch, describes a team of more than twenty local professionals and over a hundred organizations served, and puts the client size range at 10 to 500 employees across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Their about page says the team is entirely in-house in the Hudson Valley and that the firm is independent, with no private equity owner. They publish a dedicated AI services page, a fire department solutions line, a free cybersecurity self-check, and a free 30 minute CMMC readiness review for Hudson Valley defense contractors.

Two AI practices, aimed differently
Both firms publish an AI practice, so this one comes down to where the technology gets pointed. Their AI services page names five lines: readiness and strategy, sales and marketing automation, governance and risk management, enterprise integration, and training and adoption, with Microsoft Copilot named in a deployment context and a 60 day pilot as the published way in. Ours sits under Jamie Baum and runs to readiness assessments, Copilot rollouts, custom agents and workflow automation, inside the same monthly agreement as everything else rather than as a separate program. Ask whoever you shortlist to show you an agent they built and what it replaced.
Local hands versus a wider map
Their Orange County page states several physical locations across the Hudson Valley and a fleet of wrapped service vehicles, and describes the team as entirely in-house and local. For a Newburgh or Middletown business that wants somebody in the building within the hour, that is a genuine advantage and we are not going to pretend otherwise. NetSys works from one office in Brooklyn, with the Hudson Valley inside our published on-site map and everything else delivered remotely. For an office of laptops on Microsoft 365 that difference costs you little. For a plant floor with equipment nobody can reach over a VPN, it is the whole question.
What the base agreement carries
Their Orange County page itemizes a long list of what they manage, from IT planning and procurement through low voltage wiring, wireless boosting, VOIP setup, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace migrations, cloud consulting, backup and continuity planning, and compliance support. If you want one vendor for the wiring and the firewall both, that breadth matters. Our agreement runs narrower and deeper: cybersecurity, managed IT with help desk, privileged access management, privileged identity management, disaster recovery planning and AI work, all of it month to month. We could not find privileged access or credential management published on their site, so ask.

Four more things worth knowing about Fisch Solutions
Size and history
- Their home page states the company was founded in 2006 by Jason Fisch, describes a team of 20+ local professionals and 100+ organizations served, and states they serve organizations with 10-500 employees across NY, NJ and CT. (fischsolutions.com)
- Their About page states the founder started the company in Newburgh at age 15 twenty years ago, describes a 100% in-house Hudson Valley team, and states the firm is independent and not private-equity owned. (fischsolutions.com)
NetSys: Independent since 1998. One office, in Brooklyn, and no private equity owner behind the name.
Industries they name
- Their solutions page names legal/law firms, not-for-profit, real estate agent, healthcare, government, manufacturer, construction and public safety as industries, and lists Fire Department Solutions among its solution categories. (fischsolutions.com)
NetSys: Twenty six industries with a page each, from healthcare and legal to hedge funds, auto dealers and government contractors.
Compliance work published
- Their Orange County page names HIPAA, CJIS and NY DFS in its compliance support line item. (fischsolutions.com)
- Their home page names CMMC, HIPAA, PCI, DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST 800-171. (fischsolutions.com)
NetSys: Nine frameworks with a service page each: HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, NY SHIELD, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.
Rates on the website
- They publish an article on managed IT services cost that describes per-device, per-user and all-inclusive pricing models and cites general industry cost ranges by business size. (fischsolutions.com)
NetSys: We do not publish rates. We quote per business rather than per seat, after a call, because a thirty person firm with two servers and a thirty person firm with a regulator are not the same job.
What we looked for on their site and could not find
response-time commitments; privileged access, privileged identity management or managed credentials.
That means we did not find it published, not that it does not exist. Ask them directly, and ask us the same questions. If Fisch Solutions publishes any of this and we missed it, write to info@netsysgroup.com and we will add it.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right Fisch Solutions alternative?
When Fisch Solutions is the better choice
Fisch Solutions is the right call for a Hudson Valley organization that wants its provider physically nearby: several local locations, service vehicles, an in-house team and a vCIO in touch at least twice a month. Defense contractors in the region get a free 30 minute CMMC readiness review, and fire departments and public safety agencies get a practice built for them specifically. That combination is hard to match from outside the valley.
When NetSys is the better choice
NetSys earns the work when the security and compliance side is doing the choosing. Privileged access and identity management sit in the base agreement; nine frameworks have a page each, including NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500 and NY SHIELD for regulated New York firms; response commitments go into the contract; and the agreement is month to month with no penalty for leaving. Start with the free Tier 1 external penetration test and keep the findings either way.
NetSys and Fisch Solutions: FAQs
Is Fisch Solutions the same kind of firm as NetSys?
They are close cousins, with two real differences. Both are independent providers with no private equity owner, both publish an AI practice, and both put a named person on the account. The differences are footprint and stack: theirs is a Hudson Valley company with local offices and service vehicles, ours works from Brooklyn with on-site coverage that runs from Long Island down to Florida, and our monthly agreement includes privileged access and privileged identity management, which we could not find published on their site.
Who is a good Fisch Solutions alternative in the Hudson Valley?
If you want the same independence with compliance and privileged access work in the base agreement, NetSys is worth the call. We cover the Hudson Valley on site from Brooklyn, run 24/7 monitoring, publish nine compliance frameworks with a service page each, and put cybersecurity, managed IT, PAM, PIM, disaster recovery planning and AI work into a single month to month agreement. We would also say plainly that for a purely local, in-the-building relationship, their Hudson Valley presence is the stronger card.
Is there a long-term contract if we move from Fisch Solutions to NetSys?
No. Our agreement is month to month with no early-exit penalty, so the pressure to perform stays on us. On their side the published commitment language covers the 60 day pilot program on the AI page, which is a fair way to try a provider before signing anything larger, so ask what the managed IT agreement itself runs to and get the answer in writing. Whichever way you go, the agreement should be as clear about leaving as it is about starting.
What response times should we expect from each firm?
Ours are written into the agreement rather than posted on the website, and we would rather sign a number than advertise one. Their Orange County page publishes a service structure instead: a dedicated tech team, an assigned account manager, and a vCIO in proactive contact at least twice a month. We searched their site for published response-time commitments and did not find them, which is a gap in our research rather than a statement about their desk, so ask for the figure in writing and compare it to ours.
Get both answers in writing.
Fifteen minutes with a NetSys engineer, not a salesperson, and you will have our side of every question on this page in writing. Take it into any comparison you like.
