Wealth Management IT Support in Naples, FL
Naples RIAs, multi-family offices and private wealth teams serve clients with complicated balance sheets who often live here only part of the year. NetSys builds their IT for that pattern: secure access from anywhere, tight vendor oversight under amended Regulation S-P, verified money movement and continuity that survives a Gulf hurricane, all managed remotely from Brooklyn.
The short answer
NetSys provides IT support and cybersecurity for wealth management firms, RIAs and family offices in Naples: an engineer-staffed help desk, managed devices, Microsoft 365 with archiving, strong authentication on custodian, reporting and document platforms, ThreatDown MDR, tested backups and the incident response and vendor-oversight program amended Regulation S-P requires. Support is remote and cloud-based; NetSys does not send technicians to Naples offices, and equipment ships configured. The help desk is staffed 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern seven days a week, emergency service is 24/7, and pricing is per user per month after an assessment.

Serving clients who split the year
Federal data put per capita personal income in the Naples metro area at about $134,500 in 2023, and national firms keep arriving to serve it: in May 2026 Rockefeller Global Family Office announced its first office on Florida's Gulf Coast in Naples, and multi-family offices such as Cresset already work from the US 41 and Pine Ridge Road area. Many clients here are seasonal. A retired executive may spend November to April in Port Royal or Pelican Bay and the rest of the year in Chicago, Connecticut or Michigan, signing documents, reviewing reports and approving transfers from both homes and from a phone in between. That pattern breaks simple security rules. A login from Ohio in July is normal, a new device can be legitimate, and an assistant or a family member may act for the client. We design around it: client-portal and e-signature accounts with strong authentication, a documented list of who may act for each client, callback rules for money movement, and staff trained to check authority before acting on instructions.
Remote IT for a Naples office that empties every summer
NetSys supports Naples wealth firms entirely remotely and does not send technicians on site. That suits the rhythm of the city: offices are full from January to April and thin in August, when advisers travel and work from second homes. Every device is managed through Intune and NinjaOne wherever it is, encrypted, patched and covered by ThreatDown. Conditional Access ties sign-ins to managed devices, so an adviser working from a summer house in North Carolina gets the same access as at the office, and a stolen password alone gets an attacker nowhere. Hardware failures are handled by shipping: a failed laptop is swapped for a pre-configured one sent overnight. Engineers staff the help desk 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern, every day, and an account compromise goes straight to the firm's dedicated engineer.
Family offices, vendors and the 72-hour rule
Naples family offices and RIAs typically run on more outside vendors than staff: a custodian or two, a portfolio-reporting platform, a CRM, a document vault, e-signature, a bill-pay service, outsourced accounting and an IT provider. Amended Regulation S-P turns that vendor list into a compliance record for SEC-registered firms. The firm must oversee service providers that receive customer information, and those providers must tell the firm within 72 hours of becoming aware of a breach. We maintain the register: each vendor, the data it holds, who administers it, whether single sign-on and multifactor authentication are enforced, the contract's breach-notice clause and the last review date. When a vendor reports an incident, we can show which client records sit with it and which accounts to reset, and the chief compliance officer has what they need to decide on notice.
Hurricane Ian and the second office
In September 2022 Ian drove surge 6 to 9 feet above ground into parts of Naples, and the gauge on the pier went silent mid-storm. A wealth firm's continuity plan here assumes the office is unusable for weeks, not hours. We keep the CRM, reporting and document systems reachable from any managed laptop, back up Microsoft 365 and any remaining server to storage outside Florida with an immutable copy, and forward office lines to mobiles. The plan names a second working location, often an adviser's northern home or a partner office, lists custodian service and trading desks, and includes a client message explaining how to reach the firm and repeating that it will never ask for transfers by email. We test it every spring, before the seasonal residents leave.

Rules that shape IT for Naples wealth management firms
Amended Regulation S-P: incident response and service providers
For SEC-registered advisers, the 2024 amendments, now in force for firms of every size, require written policies for an incident response program, customer notice within 30 days of learning that sensitive customer information was, or is reasonably likely to have been, accessed without authorization, and oversight of service providers, which must notify the firm within 72 hours of a breach. The firm stays responsible for customer notices even when a vendor sends them.
The SEC family office exclusion
A single-family office that meets the SEC's family office rule, Rule 202(a)(11)(G)-1, is not an investment adviser under the Advisers Act, so Regulation S-P does not reach it. The data it holds is no less sensitive: tax returns, trust documents, account credentials and wire instructions. We apply the same controls, and Florida's breach law still covers the Florida residents' information it keeps.
Breach notice across clients' home states
Florida's Information Protection Act requires notice within 30 days to affected Florida residents, but a client who winters in Naples may be a legal resident of New York, Illinois or Michigan, whose breach-notification laws set their own content and timing rules. The incident response plan should record each client's state of residence so counsel can work out who must be told, and when. This is general information, not legal advice.

Wealth Management Firms in Naples: FAQs
Who provides IT support for wealth management firms in Naples?
NetSys does, remotely from our Brooklyn office. We support RIAs, multi-family offices and single-family offices with the help desk, managed devices, Microsoft 365 and archiving, security, backups, vendor oversight and the written programs examiners and auditors ask for. Our engineers hold degrees in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or computer science, with Cisco and Microsoft certifications. Our Florida operations are led by Joe Laboy, one of the firm's systems engineers, and agreements run month to month.
How does IT support work for Naples wealth management firms?
Advisers and staff reach the help desk by phone, email or portal from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern on any day, wherever they are working that month. An engineer connects remotely and resolves the issue, and monitoring and emergency response run around the clock. Account takeovers and suspicious transfer requests go straight to your dedicated engineer. NetSys does not send technicians to Naples, so replacement laptops and network equipment ship configured to the office or to an adviser's other home.
What does IT support cost for a Naples RIA or family office?
We price per user per month after an assessment and do not publish a rate. The figure depends on headcount, how many outside platforms and custodians we coordinate, archiving needs, the depth of Regulation S-P or audit documentation you want, the number of homes and devices principals use, and whether any server remains in the office. Projects such as consolidating documents into SharePoint are quoted separately. There is no long-term contract.
Do you work with single-family offices?
Yes. A single-family office usually has a few staff, many vendors and principals who expect everything to work from any of their homes. We manage the devices of staff and, where the family wants it, principals; lock down email, banking and document access with multifactor authentication; keep a register of vendors and who can authorize payments; and back up everything independently. Because the SEC's family office exclusion takes many of these offices outside Regulation S-P, we write the controls into the office's own policies instead.
How do you stop fraudulent wire requests that look like they come from a client?
We assume the client's own email account may be compromised, so email is never enough. The firm adopts a written rule that any new or changed wire instruction is confirmed by calling a number already on file. Barracuda flags look-alike domains and impersonation, external messages are tagged, and an alert fires when an inbox rule starts forwarding mail outside. Staff training uses real scenarios, and each verification is recorded in a ticket for the compliance file.
What happens to our systems when Naples is under a hurricane warning?
We run the checklist we agreed in the spring. Before landfall we confirm the latest backups of Microsoft 365 and any remaining server, shut that server down cleanly if it is still in the building, forward office phones to mobiles and confirm every adviser has a managed laptop. Clients receive the prepared message about how to reach the firm. During and after the storm we watch devices come back online and keep the help desk open, so advisers can keep working from wherever they evacuated.
