Managed IT Services in North Jersey
For companies whose offices, clinics and warehouses sit in more than one North Jersey county, NetSys runs the whole environment under one agreement: users and devices, Microsoft 365, the network at each site, security, backups and the vendors behind them. Engineers work from our Brooklyn office and come to your buildings when a job needs a person there.
The short answer
NetSys provides managed IT services in North Jersey under one per-user monthly fee, set once we have assessed your environment: the help desk, 24/7 monitoring, NinjaOne patching, Microsoft 365 and Intune administration, ThreatDown managed detection and response, Datto or Veeam backups with restore tests, and management of your internet, phone and software vendors. Engineers come on site across Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Union counties for hardware, cabling, network and move work, and most tickets are fixed remotely first. Agreements run month to month, with no long-term contract.

How managed IT is delivered across North Jersey
Day-to-day work runs remotely from Brooklyn: NinjaOne watches every server and laptop, patches go out on a schedule, and the help desk screen-shares to fix most problems in the first conversation. When a job needs hands, an engineer drives out. Newark and Secaucus are about half an hour from Park Slope, Hackensack and Montclair 40 to 45 minutes, Paramus, Wayne and Livingston about 50, and Parsippany and Morristown about an hour, longer in rush hour, so visits are booked for a time that suits the building and the work. Typical on-site jobs are replacing a firewall or switch, cabling a new room, setting up desks for a group of new hires, tracing a Wi-Fi dead spot and running the IT side of an office move. Monitoring runs 24/7 from Brooklyn, and so does emergency service. Our staffed help-desk hours are 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time, seven days a week. The proposal states severe-incident escalation, authorized remediation and any other after-hours work.
One agreement for sites in several counties
Plenty of North Jersey companies keep sales in an office park off Route 17, finance in Parsippany and stock in a Meadowlands warehouse. Managed IT should treat that as one environment with several buildings. Identities, Microsoft 365, device policy and backups are standardized once; each site then gets its own record in IT Glue listing the circuit and its account number, the firewall and switch models, the printers, the closet location and who in the building holds the key. Vendor management is part of the fee: when the internet drops in Carlstadt or the copier leasing company needs a scan-to-email change in Hackensack, we open the ticket with the vendor and stay on it, so your office manager is not the one on hold.
Pharma suppliers, medical groups and defense contractors
The region's largest employers set the IT requirements of the smaller firms around them. ChooseNJ's employer lists show the pattern: BD, Hackensack Meridian Health and Valley Health System in Bergen County; Novartis, Bayer and Atlantic Health System in Morris, along with Picatinny Arsenal, the Army installation near Dover. A packaging supplier or contract lab working for a drugmaker gets a security questionnaire before it gets a purchase order. A medical group tied to a hospital system is asked how it protects patient records under the HIPAA Security Rule. A machine shop doing Army work carries DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 duties; CMMC Phase 2 certification was suspended on July 13, 2026, but self-assessments and a current SPRS score still apply. We build the environment so those answers are documented rather than improvised.
The first 30 days with NetSys
Week one is discovery: we inventory every user, device, license and site, collect admin credentials from your current provider and check whether backups actually restore. In week two the NinjaOne and ThreatDown agents go onto every machine, multifactor sign-in is switched on for anyone missing it, and laptops are enrolled in Intune. Weeks three and four cover the network, printers, line-of-business software and vendor contacts, documented in IT Glue site by site. Staff notice two changes: a new number and email address for help, and a sign-in prompt on their phone. Managers get a written list of what we found, what we fixed first and what still needs a budget decision, such as a firewall past its support date.
Hardware deadlines and storm-ready sites
Two lifecycle dates are driving North Jersey budgets this year. Microsoft stopped shipping Windows 10 security fixes on October 14, 2025, and Windows Server 2016 extended support ends on January 12, 2027, which matters for the file and application servers still sitting in many back rooms. A managed plan schedules those replacements instead of leaving them to an emergency. Site design matters too. Sandy in 2012 left more than 1.9 million of PSE&G's 2.2 million electric customers without power, and FEMA's Ida declaration in September 2021 named all six of the region's core counties for individual assistance. We put battery backup on network gear, a cellular failover on the firewall and backups off site, so a dark building does not mean lost data.

Law office: Microsoft 365 with layered security and cloud-to-cloud backup
A 25-attorney firm in the greater New York metro was losing unbillable hours to an outdated file server and an email server that needed weekly attention. NetSys mapped the firm's matters and document workflows first, moved email to Exchange Online and documents to SharePoint and OneDrive in a matter-based structure over a weekend cut-over, layered anti-phishing protection, DNS filtering, multifactor authentication and endpoint protection across attorney devices, and set independent cloud-to-cloud backup of the whole tenant. The firm reported 82% fewer IT support incidents per month within two quarters and about 3.5 hours per attorney per week recovered from IT friction.

What managed IT costs in North Jersey
Managed IT is priced per user per month for a fully managed agreement, and the number moves with four things more than with headcount: how many servers you run, whether you need after-hours coverage beyond monitoring, how much compliance documentation you carry, and whether we are co-managing alongside an internal person or running everything. We quote from an assessment, not a phone call, and the agreement runs month to month. What belongs in the monthly fee versus what is billed separately is set out on our managed IT pricing page.
Who this fits, and who it does not
Best fit: 10 to 75 employees, one or two offices plus remote staff, already on Microsoft 365 or ready to move there, and either no internal IT or one person who is underwater.

Managed IT Services in North Jersey: FAQs
Do you provide on-site managed IT in North Jersey?
Yes. Our engineers come on site across Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and Union counties and most of Sussex, for firewall and switch replacements, cabling, new-hire desk setups, Wi-Fi fixes and office moves. Most tickets are fixed remotely first, because that is faster for your staff, and visits are booked around the building's access rules. NetSys has one office, at 1 Prospect Park SW in Brooklyn, so we tell you up front how long the drive to your address takes.
How much do managed IT services cost in North Jersey?
We price managed IT per user per month after assessing your environment, and we do not publish a standard rate. The fee moves with the number of users and devices, how many servers and sites you run, compliance work such as HIPAA or a pharma client's security questionnaire, and whether an internal IT person stays on. Projects like a server replacement or an office move are quoted separately. Agreements are month to month, so you can leave if the service stops earning the fee.
What is included in a managed IT plan for a North Jersey business?
The help desk, 24/7 monitoring and emergency service, patching through NinjaOne, ThreatDown managed detection and response with Microsoft Defender for Business, Microsoft 365 and Intune administration, Barracuda email protection, Datto or Veeam backups with dated restore tests, documentation in IT Glue, onboarding and offboarding, and vendor management for your internet carrier, phones, printers and business software. You also get a dedicated account manager with a real cell number. Hardware, licenses and one-off projects are quoted separately.
Can you work alongside our in-house IT person?
Yes, and many corporate satellites along Route 80 and I-287 work that way. Co-managed IT splits the duties in writing: your IT lead keeps the projects and business relationships, and we take monitoring, patching, security alerts, backups and help desk overflow, or whichever pieces you hand us. Both sides work from the same NinjaOne console and IT Glue records, so nothing depends on one person's memory, and you have cover when your IT lead is on vacation.
Which New Jersey laws shape how a managed IT provider handles our data?
The breach statute matters most day to day. If residents' personal information is exposed, N.J.S.A. 56:8-163 puts the State Police report ahead of customer notices, so the logs and timelines your provider keeps decide how quickly you can act. For larger data controllers, the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, in force since January 15, 2025, requires reasonable security and expects processors, such as an IT provider, to help with it. Your contract should say who holds which records. This is general information, not legal advice.
