Managed IT Services in Torrance, CA
For Torrance manufacturers, automotive and aerospace suppliers, distributors, medical offices and professional firms along Hawthorne Boulevard. NetSys takes responsibility for the whole environment, from the shop-floor PCs to Microsoft 365 and every vendor in between, and runs it remotely from Brooklyn under a month-to-month agreement with engineers who start early on Pacific time.
The short answer
NetSys delivers managed IT services to Torrance, California companies: continuous monitoring, scheduled patching, ThreatDown managed detection and response, Microsoft 365 and Intune administration, immutable Datto or Veeam backups and one point of contact for carriers, ERP vendors and copier companies. All support is remote and cloud-based from our Brooklyn office. We do not dispatch technicians to the South Bay, so equipment ships ready and your staff or contractor connects it. Engineers staff the help desk seven days a week from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific. Pricing is per user per month, set after an assessment.

How managed IT is delivered in Torrance
NetSys has a single office, in Brooklyn, and no engineers in California, so a Torrance engagement is remote by design. NinjaOne agents on every workstation and server report patch status, disk health and backup results to our team, and most problems are fixed in a remote session without anyone leaving their desk. New laptops are enrolled in Windows Autopilot and Intune before they ship, arrive at your front desk or receiving area, and configure themselves when the user signs in. For network changes we send a preconfigured firewall or switch with a labeled diagram, and your maintenance lead or electrical contractor swaps it while an engineer confirms each port from Brooklyn. Monitoring runs 24/7 from Brooklyn, and so does emergency service. Our staffed help-desk hours are 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time (1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific), seven days a week. The proposal states severe-incident escalation, authorized remediation and any other after-hours work.
Automotive, aerospace and distribution firms around Zamperini Field
Torrance has a real manufacturing base. American Honda has run its U.S. headquarters from 1919 Torrance Boulevard since 1990, and Robinson Helicopter, which the city calls the largest manufacturer of private helicopters in the country, builds aircraft at Zamperini Field. Around them are machine shops, parts distributors and engineering firms that trade data with large customers every day. Their IT tends to mix old and new: a CNC programming PC that cannot be upgraded, an ERP server in a closet, EDI connections to customers and a front office on Microsoft 365. We separate shop-floor machines onto their own network segment, back up the ERP database with tested restores, and track which controllers and PCs lost Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025, so each gets a replacement or an isolation plan.
What the 2020 City of Torrance ransomware attack shows about backups
In early March 2020 the City of Torrance was hit by DoppelPaymer ransomware. The attackers claimed they deleted the city's local backups before encrypting roughly 150 servers and 500 workstations, then demanded 100 bitcoin and posted stolen files on their leak site, according to reporting at the time. The order of events matters, because modern ransomware crews hunt for backups first. That is why the backups we run cannot be deleted from the network they protect. Datto SIRIS and Veeam copies are immutable for a retention window, the backup console uses separate credentials with multifactor sign-in, and a copy sits in a cloud region outside California. We restore a sample every month and send you the result, so you know recovery works before you need it.
Refinery, earthquake and power risk in the South Bay
Torrance plans for hazards most cities do not. On February 18, 2015 an explosion at the ExxonMobil refinery, now the Torrance Refining Company, scattered catalyst dust up to a mile away, and the Chemical Safety Board later traced it to process safety failures. A shelter-in-place order or a closed road can keep staff out of an office for a day even when nothing inside is damaged. The region also sits among active faults, so we assume the building may be unreachable after a strong earthquake. Continuity planning covers both cases: Teams phones that ring on mobile devices, laptops that work from home without a VPN scramble, a documented call tree, and a written recovery order for the ERP, the file shares and email.
Medical and professional offices along Hawthorne Boulevard
Torrance Memorial Medical Center, affiliated with Cedars-Sinai since January 2018, anchors a large community of physician groups, imaging centers, physical therapists and dental offices, and the Hawthorne Boulevard corridor around Del Amo Fashion Center holds accountants, insurance agencies and law offices. These offices share a pattern: a handful of staff, one critical cloud application, a scanner and printer everyone depends on, and a great deal of email containing personal data. Managed IT for them is about predictability. Patches go out after hours, scanners and printers are documented, email is filtered by Barracuda and protected with DMARC, and staff take KnowBe4 phishing training. Medical practices receive a business associate agreement and HIPAA Security Rule documentation as part of the agreement.

Law office: Microsoft 365 with layered security and cloud-to-cloud backup
A 25-attorney firm in the greater New York metro was losing unbillable hours to an outdated file server and an email server that needed weekly attention. NetSys mapped the firm's matters and document workflows first, moved email to Exchange Online and documents to SharePoint and OneDrive in a matter-based structure over a weekend cut-over, layered anti-phishing protection, DNS filtering, multifactor authentication and endpoint protection across attorney devices, and set independent cloud-to-cloud backup of the whole tenant. The firm reported 82% fewer IT support incidents per month within two quarters and about 3.5 hours per attorney per week recovered from IT friction.

What managed IT costs in Torrance
Managed IT is priced per user per month for a fully managed agreement, and the number moves with four things more than with headcount: how many servers you run, whether you need after-hours coverage beyond monitoring, how much compliance documentation you carry, and whether we are co-managing alongside an internal person or running everything. We quote from an assessment, not a phone call, and the agreement runs month to month. What belongs in the monthly fee versus what is billed separately is set out on our managed IT pricing page.
Who this fits, and who it does not
Best fit: 10 to 75 employees, one or two offices plus remote staff, already on Microsoft 365 or ready to move there, and either no internal IT or one person who is underwater.

Managed IT Services in Torrance: FAQs
How does managed IT work for Torrance organizations?
Everything runs remotely from Brooklyn. Monitoring and emergency service are continuous, and engineers staff the help desk seven days a week from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific, which covers a 6 a.m. shift start on the shop floor. A critical issue gets a phone response within ten minutes and a remote response within thirty; a standard request gets a call within thirty minutes and remote work within an hour. Severe events go straight to your dedicated engineer. Because no NetSys engineer works in Torrance, replacement hardware ships configured, and we keep your site documentation current so anyone on your team can follow it.
Can you support machines on the shop floor that cannot be upgraded?
Yes, by containing them rather than treating them like normal PCs. A CNC programming station or test-equipment PC that must stay on an old Windows version goes on its own network segment with no internet access and no email, file transfers go through a controlled share, and the firewall logs anything that tries to leave. We document the machine, its vendor and the reason it cannot be upgraded, and add it to the replacement budget. That record is also the evidence a customer's supplier security questionnaire asks for.
How is managed IT priced for a Torrance business?
Per user per month, from an assessment; we do not publish prices. Shared shop-floor PCs and kiosks are usually priced per device instead. What moves the number is the count of servers, whether you run an on-premises ERP, how many sites and network segments are involved, and compliance work such as NIST SP 800-171 for defense suppliers or HIPAA for practices. Monitoring, patching, security tooling and vendor calls are inside the fee, while hardware and projects are quoted separately after scoping. Agreements run month to month.
Do you work with our ERP and EDI vendors?
Yes. When an EDI transmission fails or the ERP slows to a crawl, we collect the logs, check the server, database and network side, and open the case with the software vendor ourselves instead of leaving your controller on hold. The vendor's support contract number, escalation contacts and the last known good configuration are kept in IT Glue. Upgrades are planned with the vendor for a weekend window, with a backup taken and restored first so there is always a way back.
What do Torrance aerospace suppliers need for NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC?
If you hold controlled unclassified information under a defense contract, DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2 already apply, along with a current SPRS score and affirmation. CMMC Phase 2 was suspended in July 2026, so a third-party Level 2 certificate is not a condition of award for now, but Level 1 and Level 2 self-assessments still are wherever a contract calls for them. We build the controls in Microsoft 365, Intune and the firewall, and keep the evidence ready for a prime contractor's review. This is general information, not legal advice.
