NetSys vs. Managed Solution
Managed Solution works out of San Diego and sells compliance as a continuing program rather than a one-time project, which is a sensible way to do it. East Coast buyers shopping national providers end up weighing them against us. Here is what each firm publishes, and where three time zones start to matter.
The short answer
For a company working toward SOC 2 or ISO 27001 that wants a named compliance program with a quarterly review behind it, Managed Solution has the better published answer. For a New York business that needs an engineer at the office this week, or that answers to NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500 and NY SHIELD, NetSys is the closer fit. Both firms publish exit terms: theirs is a sixty-day clause, ours is month to month with nothing owed on the way out.
What Managed Solution is
The firm was founded in 2002, runs from a San Diego headquarters, and describes professionals located throughout the country. Their managed IT page names managed data security, a 24/7 US-based national helpdesk, Azure Assure, IT compliance management, virtual CIO services, network monitoring, backup disaster and recovery, AI and automation, and co-managed IT. Pricing appears as three tiers, Monitor, Support and IT Partner, quoted per user per month. Four verticals are named: healthcare, finance, life sciences and non-profit.

Compliance run as a program
Their Drata partner page names HIPAA, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and describes a Compliance Essentials Starter service with quarterly reviews, and the healthcare page adds HIPAA and HITECH around EHR transmission. A named compliance program with a quarterly review beats a scramble three weeks before an audit, and any buyer chasing SOC 2 should take that seriously. NetSys comes at it from the regulator's side instead: nine frameworks with a page each, including the two that catch New York firms most often, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500 and NY SHIELD, plus CMMC 2.0, FTC Safeguards, GLBA, NIST CSF 2.0 and PCI DSS.
Where the automation points
Their AI and Automation page describes Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI and robotic process automation applied to the IT help desk, which is automation aimed at making support faster. NetSys points its AI practice at the client's own work instead. Jamie Baum runs readiness assessments, Copilot rollouts, custom agents and workflow automation for the processes a company already has, and the engineers who build it keep it running afterwards. Both are legitimate uses of the same technology. They simply solve for different problems, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying.
Sixty days, or thirty
Their managed IT services pricing page publishes a sixty-day exit clause, which is more than most providers will put on a public page and gives you time to plan a transition properly. It is still notice you have to give. A NetSys agreement is month to month, so the decision to stay gets made every thirty days and nothing is owed for changing your mind. Their tiers, Monitor, Support and IT Partner, are quoted per user; we quote per business after a call, because two firms with identical headcounts can be very different jobs.

Managed Solution appears here because it came up in the search results for managed IT services when we checked in September 2026. Everything in their column is drawn from pages published on https://www.managedsolution.com/ and links to the source. Where we could not find something published we say so, which means we did not find it, not that it does not exist. We make no claim about the quality of their service. Four more things worth knowing about Managed Solution
Size and history
- Their About Us page gives a founding year of 2002 and lists an award timeline running from 2008 through 2025. (managedsolution.com)
NetSys: Independent since 1998. One office, in Brooklyn, and no private equity owner behind the name.
Industries they name
- Their industries page names four verticals: healthcare, finance, life sciences, and non-profit. (managedsolution.com)
NetSys: Twenty six industries with a page each, from healthcare and legal to hedge funds, auto dealers and government contractors.
Compliance work published
- Their Drata partner program page names HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, and describes a Compliance Essentials Starter service with quarterly reviews. (managedsolution.com)
- Their healthcare industry page names HIPAA and HITECH in connection with EHR transmission. (managedsolution.com)
NetSys: Nine frameworks with a service page each: HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, NY SHIELD, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.
Rates on the website
- They publish a managed IT services pricing page with three named tiers, Monitor, Support, and IT Partner, priced per user per month, with each tier displaying a quote request in place of a dollar figure. (managedsolution.com)
- Their network penetration testing page publishes starting annual prices for internal and external network penetration testing. (managedsolution.com)
NetSys: We do not publish rates. We quote per business rather than per seat, after a call, because a thirty person firm with two servers and a thirty person firm with a regulator are not the same job.
What we looked for on their site and could not find
privileged access, privileged identity management or managed credentials; a free assessment before signing.
That means we did not find it published, not that it does not exist. Ask them directly, and ask us the same questions. If Managed Solution publishes any of this and we missed it, write to info@netsysgroup.com and we will add it.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right Managed Solution alternative?
When Managed Solution is the better choice
Managed Solution is the right hire if you are West Coast based, deep in Azure, and working toward SOC 2 or ISO 27001 against a deadline. Their Drata partnership and quarterly compliance reviews are built for that situation, and their pricing page names its three tiers and publishes a sixty-day exit clause. Azure Assure, virtual CIO services, IT compliance management and co-managed IT are all named inside the managed IT plan. Healthcare, finance, life sciences and non-profit are the verticals they name.
When NetSys is the better choice
Pick NetSys if you are in the New York area and want an engineer who can be at your office rather than three time zones away. We have been independent since 1998, work from one Brooklyn office, and cover on-site work across the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley and out through New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Florida. Privileged access and privileged identity management are in the base agreement, month to month.
NetSys and Managed Solution: FAQs
What does Managed Solution include in its managed IT plans?
Their managed IT services page names managed data security, a 24/7 US-based national helpdesk, Azure Assure, IT compliance management, virtual CIO services, network monitoring, backup disaster and recovery, AI and automation, and co-managed IT. Plans come as three tiers, Monitor, Support and IT Partner, priced per user per month with a quote request in place of a figure. Their customer support page separately lists help desk hours of 09:00 to 17:00 daily, so ask which coverage applies to the tier you are quoted.
What is a good Managed Solution alternative on the East Coast?
NetSys, if your offices are in the New York area. We are in Brooklyn, independent since 1998, and our on-site coverage runs across the metro and out through Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Florida. The base agreement carries cybersecurity, managed IT with a help desk, PAM, PIM, AI services and disaster recovery planning, month to month. If your compliance target is ISO 27001 and your stack is Azure end to end, keep them on the list.
What notice is required to leave, sixty days or none?
Their pricing page publishes a sixty-day exit clause applying to their contracts, so plan two months of overlap if you ever move. NetSys agreements are month to month with no early-exit penalty and no notice period beyond the month you are in. Either way, treat the sixty days as working time rather than waiting time. Spend the first month collecting documentation, licensing and administrative access, and the second moving systems in a planned order. If you are part way through a compliance cycle, set the cutover date so an audit does not land in the middle of it.
Does NetSys cover New York rules like NYDFS and SHIELD?
Yes, and each one has its own service page. NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500 applies to financial institutions licensed in New York and carries specific obligations on multi-factor authentication, access review and incident reporting. NY SHIELD reaches much further, to any business holding a New York resident's private information. We also publish pages for HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA, and the compliance work sits inside the same monthly agreement as the managed IT.
