NetSys vs. TELECO
TELECO came up in a nationwide search for managed IT services, and it reaches its customers by a route we do not use. Two company offices, and behind them a dealer and affiliate network reaching across North America. This page reads the two positions side by side.
The short answer
Choose TELECO if you have sites in many states and want one number to call for all of them. Choose NetSys if you want the engineers who run your network to be the firm you signed with. They publish two offices plus a delivery network described as more than 350 authorized dealers and 2,000 affiliates across North America, with more than 2,400 technicians nationwide. We publish one Brooklyn office, ten on-site coverage areas, and a month to month agreement.
What TELECO is
TELECO is headquartered on Woodruff Road in Greenville, South Carolina, with a second published office in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and states it has been combining technologies since 1981. Their managed IT page lists eight named components, among them an end user help desk, network intrusion security, data protection and recovery, email protection, managed workplace services for endpoints and servers, Microsoft 365 partner and cloud solution provider work, managed security awareness training, and virtual CIO consulting. The industries they name lean toward buildings: hospitality, multi family residential, education, retail, warehousing and religious institutions, alongside healthcare and manufacturing.

A dealer network, or one team
This is the real difference and it cuts both ways. They publish a national delivery network described as more than 350 authorized dealers and 2,000 affiliates across North America, with more than 2,400 technicians, coordinated through a single toll free number and a customer portal for tickets and billing. For a company holding twenty locations in twelve states, that is a genuinely hard problem solved. We solve a narrower one: the same engineers, in one Brooklyn office, on site across ten areas from Long Island to Florida and remote everywhere else. Fewer hands, and you know whose they are.
What the word AI is doing
On their site, AI sits inside the security stack. Their managed workplace page publishes AI powered endpoint detection and response, automated patch management and Microsoft Defender integration, powered by Barracuda and Microsoft Azure. That is a defensible use of the term, and naming the vendors tells you exactly what you are buying. On ours, AI is a practice run by Jamie Baum that assesses readiness, rolls out Microsoft Copilot, builds custom agents and automates the work your staff repeats. One is a product feature. The other is a project you commission.
Subscription hardware and the upgrade clause
Their CompleteCare ONE page describes the program as a subscription rather than a lease, with no upfront expense, priority scheduling ahead of non subscribers, and a technology upgrade option tied to extending the subscription period. If capital budget is your constraint, that structure does something a monthly service fee cannot. It also links the refresh to the term, so read how long each extension runs before you accept new equipment. Our agreement runs month to month with no early exit penalty, and nothing in it lengthens when a device gets replaced.
What each of us publishes
Their column is quoted from pages on teleco.com and links to each one. Ours states what we commit to elsewhere on this site. Nothing below is our opinion of their work.

TELECO appears here because it came up in the search results for managed IT services when we checked in September 2026. Everything in their column is drawn from pages published on https://www.teleco.com/ and links to the source. Where we could not find something published we say so, which means we did not find it, not that it does not exist. We make no claim about the quality of their service. All trademarks belong to their owners and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Four more things worth knowing about TELECO
Size and history
- Their company page states the company has been combining technologies since 1981, and their Greenville managed IT page uses the figure "45+ Years of Success." (teleco.com)
NetSys: Independent since 1998. One office, in Brooklyn, and no private equity owner behind the name.
Industries they name
- Their Greenville managed IT page names commercial offices, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, warehouse and industrial, multi-family residential and religious buildings, and also references professional services, advanced manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, government and distribution/logistics. (teleco.com)
- Their home page names healthcare, hospitality, higher education, multifamily condominiums, commercial real estate, small office buildings, retail, religious institutions, daycares and warehousing as markets served. (teleco.com)
NetSys: Twenty six industries with a page each, from healthcare and legal to hedge funds, auto dealers and government contractors.
Compliance work published
- A blog article on their site, published in their IT Services category, names HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC and state-level data privacy laws as regulatory compliance requirements facing small businesses. (teleco.com)
NetSys: Nine frameworks with a service page each: HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, NY SHIELD, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.
Rates on the website
- Their managed IT page states that solutions are customized with structured pricing, and their Greenville page frames cost as a "FIXED, BUDGETED EXPENSE." (teleco.com)
NetSys: We do not publish rates. We quote per business rather than per seat, after a call, because a thirty person firm with two servers and a thirty person firm with a regulator are not the same job.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right TELECO alternative?
When TELECO is the better choice
A company running sites in a dozen states, especially properties rather than offices, has a strong reason to call them. Hospitality groups, multi family portfolios, schools, warehouses and houses of worship are named on their pages, the delivery network reaches across North America, and a single toll free number plus a portal handles tickets and billing for all of it. Add technology on subscription with no upfront cost and the case gets clearer.
When NetSys is the better choice
The argument for us is concentration. One office in Brooklyn, independent since 1998, an account manager who gives you a real cell number, 24/7 monitoring, and one agreement holding managed IT with a help desk, cybersecurity, privileged identity and access management, recovery planning and AI work. Every one of those sits inside the same month to month agreement. If your locations are in the Northeast and you want the same engineer twice, that is what we sell.
NetSys and TELECO: FAQs
What does TELECO include in managed IT services?
Their managed IT services page lists eight components: an end user help desk, network intrusion security, data protection and recovery, email protection services, managed workplace services for endpoints and servers, Microsoft 365 partner and cloud solution provider work, managed security awareness training, and virtual CIO services. Their data protection page adds on-site and cloud backup built on Barracuda and Datto, covering Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID, with encrypted backups and malware safe restore points.
How does a subscription program compare with a month to month agreement?
They are different instruments, so read both. Their CompleteCare ONE page describes a subscription with no upfront expense, priority scheduling over non subscribers, and an upgrade option tied to extending the subscription period, which means equipment and term move together. A NetSys agreement is month to month, covers services rather than hardware, and carries no early exit penalty, so the pressure to keep earning the work lands on us every thirty days. Ask what the exit looks like under each before you sign.
Is TELECO the same kind of provider as a local New York MSP?
Not quite, and the difference is how the work reaches you. They publish two company offices, in Greenville and Deerfield Beach, alongside a dealer and affiliate network they describe as covering North America. A local provider sends its own staff from its own address. Both models can put a technician in the room, and we could not find published on their site which of the two routes serves a given address, so put that question to them. If continuity of people matters to your environment, ask each firm exactly who would show up in year two.
What is the best TELECO alternative for a Northeast business?
NetSys is worth comparing if your sites sit in the New York metro or along the corridor down to Maryland. We run one office in Brooklyn with on-site engineers across New York City, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Florida, and remote delivery anywhere in the United States. The scope is one agreement covering managed IT with help desk, cybersecurity, privileged access and identity management, recovery planning and AI work, month to month.
