NetSys vs. Sourcepass
Sourcepass came up when we searched for IT services in Melville, New York in September 2026, which is how it landed here. This page sets what Sourcepass publishes about itself against what NetSys publishes, dimension by dimension, with the source pages linked.
The short answer
Sourcepass is the better fit if you need a vendor that has been audited itself, since their about page carries ISO 27001 and AICPA SOC II badges for the company, and if a self-service portal would take pressure off whoever fields IT requests today. NetSys is the better fit for a business that wants privileged access controls, a named engineer and month to month terms, with security operations and compliance work inside the base agreement.
What Sourcepass is
Sourcepass publishes a 2020 founding, more than five hundred employees, more than two thousand clients and thirteen companies acquired as of 2025. Nine offices across eight states carry that footprint, and the Long Island one is the Broadhollow Road address in Melville. Two things stand out in what they publish. The first is Quest, their own service delivery platform. The second is that the company holds ISO 27001 and AICPA SOC II attestations for itself, which is a harder thing to put on a website than a list of frameworks you advise other people on.

A platform between you and the desk
Quest is the piece of Sourcepass with no equivalent here, and it is worth understanding rather than waving off. Their site describes it as an AI assisted service delivery platform: self-service, ticket deflection, automated onboarding and offboarding, and Smart Requests wired to a robotic process automation engine. For a company hiring and offboarding constantly, that machinery removes real friction. NetSys points AI the other way. Jamie Baum's practice aims it at the client's own business, building Copilot rollouts, custom agents and workflow automation inside your tenant, while your ticket still reaches an engineer.
What the monthly fee carries
Read their managed IT page closely and the shape is clear. Endpoint protection, Microsoft 365 and Azure protection, cloud backup and disaster recovery, phishing and spam filtering, DNS and content filtering, dark web monitoring and security awareness training are published as included. A 24x7 SOC and SIEM, along with governance and compliance work, are published as optional add-ons. That is a common and defensible way to package a service. Our agreement puts cybersecurity, help desk, PAM, PIM, disaster recovery planning and AI work under one line instead, so the number does not move when the security question gets serious.
Thirteen firms joined, or one firm kept
Thirteen acquisitions as of 2025 is how a company founded in 2020 gets to five hundred people, and buying an MSP that grew that way buys you access to depth: nine offices across eight states and formal assessment tiers. It also means the people on your account may have arrived through one of those thirteen companies, which is worth asking about rather than assuming either way. NetSys has been independent since 1998, works from one office in Brooklyn, has no private equity owner behind the name, and the engineers who build your environment are the ones who answer for it.
What each of us publishes
Their column is quoted from pages on sourcepass.com and links to each one. Ours states what we commit to elsewhere on this site. Nothing below is our opinion of their work.

(sourcepass.com) |
| Disaster recovery | A written plan plus restores that are performed and timed. | Response commitments | Written into the agreement rather than implied on the website. | We could not find published response-time commitments. |
| Proof before you commit | A free Tier 1 external penetration test. Four more things worth knowing about Sourcepass
Size and history
- Their about page publishes a founding year of 2020, over 500 employees, over 2,000 clients, and thirteen companies acquired as of 2025. (sourcepass.com)
NetSys: Independent since 1998. One office, in Brooklyn, and no private equity owner behind the name.
Industries they name
- Their healthcare page publishes a client count for that vertical, and their home page names more than 20 industries served including accounting, education, financial services, healthcare, insurance, legal, manufacturing, nonprofit, private equity, and real estate/construction. (sourcepass.com)
NetSys: Twenty six industries with a page each, from healthcare and legal to hedge funds, auto dealers and government contractors.
Compliance work published
- Their security advisory services page names the frameworks their advisory and GRC work aligns to. (sourcepass.com)
- Their about page displays ISO 27001 and AICPA SOC II compliance badges for the company itself. (sourcepass.com)
NetSys: Nine frameworks with a service page each: HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, NY SHIELD, FTC Safeguards, PCI DSS and GLBA.
Rates on the website
- Their managed IT services page describes a flat-rate monthly pricing model based on user count and infrastructure needs. (sourcepass.com)
- Their co-managed IT services page describes the model as a monthly subscription intended to make IT spend projectable. (sourcepass.com)
NetSys: We do not publish rates. We quote per business rather than per seat, after a call, because a thirty person firm with two servers and a thirty person firm with a regulator are not the same job.
What we looked for on their site and could not find
contract length or cancellation terms; response-time commitments; privileged access, privileged identity management or managed credentials.
That means we did not find it published, not that it does not exist. Ask them directly, and ask us the same questions. If Sourcepass publishes any of this and we missed it, write to info@netsysgroup.com and we will add it.
The honest fit: is NetSys the right Sourcepass alternative?
When Sourcepass is the better choice
Choose Sourcepass if a vendor security review is part of how your industry buys, because ISO 27001 and SOC II attestations on the provider itself answer that questionnaire before you send it. Choose them too if you want assessment work with named tiers, from a scorecard to a CIS Critical Security Controls risk assessment to an FS-ISAC tabletop exercise, and if nine offices across eight states suits a multi-site company.
When NetSys is the better choice
Choose NetSys when the things published as optional elsewhere are the things you came for. Security operations, compliance work, privileged access management and privileged identity management sit in our base agreement, month to month, with no early-exit penalty. You get an account manager with a real cell number, 24/7 monitoring, and a free Tier 1 external penetration test up front whose findings are yours whether or not you hire us.
NetSys and Sourcepass: FAQs
Is Sourcepass the same company as the MSP that used to serve us?
It might be, and their site is the place to check. Sourcepass publishes thirteen acquisitions as of 2025, so a number of northeast providers now operate under that brand. If your provider was bought, the agreement, the tooling and the escalation path can all change while the phone number stays the same. Ask who holds your agreement now and whether the way you reach a human has changed. Then decide whether the new arrangement is the one you would sign today.
What is a good Sourcepass alternative on Long Island?
The NetSys Group is one option, covering Long Island and the wider New York metro from a single office in Brooklyn. The difference is size and model: a senior engineering firm independent since 1998 rather than a five hundred person group assembled through acquisition. Our agreement runs month to month and carries cybersecurity, help desk, PAM, PIM, disaster recovery planning and AI services together. If nine offices and a service platform are what you are shopping for, Sourcepass publishes both and we do not.
How long is a Sourcepass contract and can you cancel it?
We could not find contract length or cancellation terms published on the Sourcepass site, so that question belongs on your first call with them. Their pages describe a flat monthly model based on user count and infrastructure needs, which tells you how the invoice is shaped but not how long you are committed. NetSys agreements are month to month with no early-exit penalty. Either way, get the notice period and the data handover in writing before you sign.
Does NetSys offer a service portal like Sourcepass Quest?
No, and the honest answer is that our AI practice was built for a different job. Quest is described on their site as a service delivery platform that deflects and automates requests before a person sees them. Our AI work runs inside the client's own environment: readiness assessments, Copilot rollouts, custom agents and automation meant to take steps out of your staff's day rather than out of our queue. If a self-service portal is the thing you are buying, that is a genuine point in their favor.
