The short answer

Copilot Studio consulting helps a business design, integrate, test and operate Microsoft agents for specific workflows. NetSys can advise your internal team, deliver an agreed implementation or manage the resulting agent under a defined support scope. We establish the users, approved knowledge, system connections, permissions, acceptance checks and operating owners before release. Microsoft subscriptions, usage charges and third-party dependencies are reviewed separately from NetSys service fees.

Choose a workflow with an owner and a testable outcome

Start with a recurring task: finding an approved procedure, checking a request's status or collecting information for a staff review. Identify who needs the answer, which system holds it and what should happen when information is missing. A useful first release has a clear boundary and a person responsible for its business decisions.

Bring a few example requests, the applications involved, intended users and your existing Microsoft setup. Tell us whether you need advice, implementation or someone to manage an existing agent. We separate retrieving information from changing records, sending messages or starting another process so each action has an appropriate approval and access design.

Agree the evidence required before launch

The delivery plan records the expected outcome for representative requests, including an unknown answer, an unauthorized user, a failed connection and an action awaiting approval. Handover includes the agreed workflow and connection inventory, permission decisions, test results, release record and operating notes. Acceptance is checked against those agreed scenarios, with unresolved items and excluded work recorded. A convincing demonstration alone does not establish that the agent is ready for every user or business situation.

What your Copilot Studio engagement can include

Discovery and integration design

Turn the business task into a defined implementation or advisory brief.

  • Workflow boundaries, intended users, system owners and measurable acceptance criteria
  • Review of supported connectors or API options, access requirements and supplier dependencies
  • A proposed design, exclusions and a decision on what belongs in the first release

Knowledge, identity and approved actions

Define which information the agent can use and whose authority each tool uses.

  • Approved knowledge sources, content owners and representative access checks
  • Review of agent sign-in, tool authentication and applicable Power Platform data policies
  • Explicit approval steps, action limits and escalation paths for consequential changes

Implementation, evaluation and release

Test the configured workflow with business owners in its intended user context.

  • Agreed topics, instructions, connections and actions, with documented configuration
  • Repeatable answer and action tests, including missing data, denied access and integration failures
  • Controlled publishing to agreed channels, release checks and a process to disable affected actions

Managed operation and change review

Keep responsibility clear after the initial build or review.

  • Agreed review of usage, failures, feedback and available cost information
  • Connection and knowledge-owner changes, issue triage and documented supplier escalation
  • Retesting and approval of scoped changes, with support hours and improvement work defined separately
Why NetSys

A defined service for the agent's working life.

Describe the task, systems and users you want to connect. Tell us whether you need integration advice, a new agent or management of an existing deployment. We will identify the discovery work and propose a scope before making changes.

  • Consulting can support your internal team without transferring all implementation responsibility
  • Project delivery and ongoing management have separate deliverables and acceptance points
  • Business owners retain approval of knowledge, access and actions
Common Questions

Copilot Studio Consulting Services FAQs

Can NetSys manage our Copilot Studio agents or just advise on integrations?

Either can be scoped. An advisory engagement can review a proposed integration and document its design, dependencies and test plan for your team. An implementation engagement adds the agreed build and release work. Managed operation defines the agents, review cadence, support hours, permitted changes and escalation responsibilities NetSys will own. An existing agent needs a discovery review before we agree its support scope.

How is this different from Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption consulting?

Copilot adoption focuses on readiness, access and how people use Microsoft's productivity assistance. This service focuses on a specific Copilot Studio agent: its knowledge, connected systems, permitted actions, testing and operation. The two projects may share identity or information-governance work, but an adoption engagement should not be assumed to include a custom agent or its continuing support.

Can an agent connect to our CRM or another business application?

We first check the exact product, supported connector or API, authentication options, licensing and the operations you need. Reading a status and updating a customer record are different integration requirements. A connector's existence does not establish that every field or action is supported. The proposal records what has been validated and whether additional development or supplier assistance is needed.

Will every tool automatically use the signed-in user's permissions?

No. Microsoft documents different tool authentication choices, including user and agent-author authentication. We review the actual connection identity and its permissions instead of assuming that agent sign-in protects every downstream action. Test cases include permitted and denied users, and the business approves any shared connection and the authority it provides.

How do you test answers and actions before publishing?

We agree representative requests and expected behavior with the process owner, then record results against those criteria. Tests cover useful answers, unsupported requests, access boundaries, integration failures and required approvals. Evaluation methods depend on the agent's capabilities and available tooling. Automated answer scores supplement business review; they do not prove every permission boundary or replace checks in the intended release channel.

What determines the cost of Copilot Studio consulting and management?

Quote inputs include workflow complexity, connection count, knowledge readiness, access remediation, testing, release channels and support responsibilities. We review the exact Copilot Studio experience, tenant entitlements and expected usage before estimating platform costs. Microsoft charges, third-party licenses and additional development are identified separately. Ongoing review and changes are included only to the extent stated in the service agreement.

What should we send when requesting a consultation?

Send the business task, application names, intended audience, current agent status and the outcome you need. Include a non-sensitive example of a request and identify the process owner. Avoid credentials and private customer records in the enquiry. We arrange appropriate access and representative test material after the scope and responsibilities are agreed.
