AWS Consulting for Business

Before expanding AWS, find out what you own, how it is secured, what it costs and who runs it. NetSys turns those questions into an assessment and a prioritized plan.

Compare Azure and AWS for a small business

The short answer

NetSys provides AWS consulting services for businesses evaluating a cloud move or reviewing an existing AWS environment. We assess the agreed workloads, identity and access, networking, recovery, operating ownership and cost drivers. You receive a recommendation with assumptions, priorities and next steps. Migration and continuing management are separate scopes when you need us to carry out the plan.

A defined question, a useful deliverable

An AWS review should resolve a real decision: whether to move a workload, why a bill is increasing, who controls an account, or whether the environment can be recovered. We agree that question and the systems in scope before collecting evidence. The assessment records what was reviewed, what could not be verified and what needs a decision from the business.

For a new workload, the output compares the proposed architecture with the operational effort, dependencies and ongoing charges it creates. For an existing account, it identifies configuration and ownership gaps in the agreed scope. Findings are separated into immediate risks, planned improvements and choices that need workload-owner input.

Review the environment, then choose the next engagement

We start with authorized access and an inventory of accounts, services and owners. Architecture, access, recovery and cost are reviewed together so an improvement in one area does not create an unowned dependency elsewhere. The readout explains the findings in business terms and gives each next step an owner. Implementation work follows a separate scope, acceptance criteria and change plan.

AWS consulting scope

Environment and architecture review

Understand the workloads and the decisions behind them.

  • Accounts, regions, services and business owners in scope
  • Networking, application dependencies and administrative access
  • Architecture options and their operating implications

Security and recovery review

Find the responsibilities that are assumed but not assigned.

  • Identity, privileged access and logging review
  • Backup coverage, restore evidence and recovery priorities
  • Risk register with scope limits and remediation owners

Cost and delivery planning

Separate the cloud bill from the work needed to run it.

  • Usage and cost drivers for the agreed environment
  • Assumptions for growth, retention and data movement
  • Prioritized roadmap and proposed implementation phases

What the assessment handover contains

The deliverable should remain useful when someone else implements the recommendations.

  • A scope statement and inventory of the workloads reviewed
  • Findings tied to evidence and business impact
  • Architecture options with dependencies and tradeoffs
  • A prioritized action register with owners and acceptance conditions
  • A readout that distinguishes known facts from estimates and unresolved questions
Common Questions

AWS Consulting for Business FAQs

Can NetSys review an AWS environment someone else built?

Yes. We can scope a review of the accounts and workloads you authorize us to assess. Access, available documentation and the current operator's responsibilities affect what can be verified and how changes should be handled.

Do AWS consulting services include migration?

The consulting engagement produces the agreed assessment and plan. Migration is a separate implementation scope with workload mapping, cutover, validation and support responsibilities. That separation makes the deliverables and pricing clear.

Can you help reduce our AWS costs?

We review cost drivers and identify options such as unused resources, capacity assumptions or retention choices where relevant. Recommendations are checked against performance and recovery requirements. Any savings depend on the environment and the changes approved; they are not guaranteed.

What affects the consulting price?

The number of accounts and workloads, access to evidence, architecture complexity, recovery requirements and the depth of the deliverable affect the quote. AWS usage charges are separate from NetSys consulting fees.

Is AWS responsible for all of our cloud security?

No. AWS describes security as a shared responsibility. The customer's duties depend on the services used. Our scope identifies which customer-side tasks NetSys handles and which remain with your team or application vendors.
