Managed IT Services in Marietta, GA
Marietta is the Cobb County seat, home to Lockheed Martin's C-130 plant and Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, and to the suppliers, practices and law offices that grow up around them. NetSys runs the whole IT environment for organizations like these, from the help desk and security to Microsoft 365, backups and outside vendors, remotely from Brooklyn for one per-user monthly fee.
The short answer
NetSys provides managed IT services to Marietta organizations under one month-to-month agreement: engineers on the help desk, around-the-clock monitoring and patching, ThreatDown managed detection and response, Microsoft 365 and Intune, Barracuda email security, backups we prove by restoring them, the firewall and network, and management of every technology vendor. Support is remote and cloud-based. NetSys has one office, in Brooklyn, and does not send engineers to Cobb County, so equipment ships configured and your staff or cabling contractor connects it. Engineers staff the help desk from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern every day, and pricing is per user per month after an assessment.

How managed IT is delivered in Marietta
Marietta keeps Eastern time, as Brooklyn does, so a Saturday change window for an office off the Square is a Saturday change window for our engineers too. Every service reaches you over the internet: the NinjaOne agent on each computer, direct administration of the Microsoft 365 tenant, and cloud consoles for the Fortinet or Meraki firewall. No NetSys engineer comes to Marietta. Laptops leave the supplier enrolled in Windows Autopilot and set themselves up when the user first signs in, and network gear arrives preconfigured for someone on your side, often an office manager or the electrician who already wires the building, to connect while we watch the link come up. Carrier options to check at a Marietta address include AT&T Business, Comcast Business and Lumen. The city also runs its own electric and water utility, which belongs on the outage contact list for any building inside city limits. Monitoring runs 24/7 from Brooklyn, and so does emergency service. Our staffed help-desk hours are 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time, seven days a week. The proposal states severe-incident escalation, authorized remediation and any other after-hours work.
Suppliers to Lockheed Martin's Marietta plant
Lockheed Martin has built aircraft in Marietta since 1951 and has made the C-130 there since 1955. Its May 2026 fact sheet lists more than 5,600 employees at the site and more than 350 Georgia-based suppliers, and the plant also builds center wing assemblies for the F-35. Machine shops, composite and wiring firms, engineering consultancies and staffing agencies in that chain often handle drawings and specifications that count as controlled unclassified information, which brings DFARS 252.204-7012 and the 110 requirements of NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2 into the contract. CMMC changed this year: on July 13, 2026 the Department of War suspended Phase 2, so third-party Level 2 certification will not be a condition of award from November 10 as planned. Self-assessments, a current SPRS score and affirmation, and the 800-171 controls remain in force. This is general information, not legal advice.
Medical offices and law firms around Kennestone and the Square
Wellstar Kennestone Hospital anchors a cluster of physician offices, imaging centers and therapy practices; its emergency department, which opened in July 2020, was built for up to 600 patients a day. The practices around it run an EHR and billing system that must stay reachable from exam rooms, the front desk and staff phones, and the HIPAA Security Rule expects access controls, audit logs and a contingency plan around that system. A few blocks away, firms near the Cobb County courthouse and Marietta Square keep pleadings, discovery and client files in a document management system, with partners working from home in East Cobb or Kennesaw. For both, managed IT means encrypted laptops in Intune, multifactor sign-in, email filtering against invoice and wire fraud, backups restored on a schedule, and a vendor contact sheet so the EHR or document system vendor hears from us rather than from your receptionist.
When the outage starts at a vendor: Marietta's 2026 lesson
On February 6, 2026, ransomware hit BridgePay Network Solutions, a payment gateway used by local governments around the country. The City of Marietta said its own systems and data were untouched, yet it could not take online business license payments until it arranged another option. A year earlier, on March 21, 2025, Cobb County found intruders on its servers, refused the ransom demand and kept court records, the jail database and public Wi-Fi offline until March 27. Both cases point to the same work. Managed IT keeps a register of every outside service your business depends on, from the payment processor and payroll provider to the phone platform and the company hosting your EHR or ERP, listing the contact path, the data each one holds and a fallback that is written down before an outage rather than improvised during one.
Floods, storms and backups for a Cobb County office
Cobb County was one of 23 Georgia counties in the federal declaration for the September 2009 storms and flooding, and one of all 159 in the Hurricane Irma declaration of 2017. For a Marietta office the realistic risk is losing the building for a day or a week, and the plan is built around that. Servers and network closets sit on battery backups sized for a clean shutdown, Microsoft 365 holds email and files so people can keep working from home, a cellular link takes over when the main circuit fails, and Datto or Veeam keeps copies in a region outside Georgia. We restore real files from those backups on a schedule and log each result, so you know the copies work before you need them. NetSys has handled more than 30 ransomware incidents in three years, and every affected client recovered fully.

The write-up is limited to the scope delivered, with no outcome figures claimed.

What managed IT costs in Marietta
Managed IT is priced per user per month for a fully managed agreement, and the number moves with four things more than with headcount: how many servers you run, whether you need after-hours coverage beyond monitoring, how much compliance documentation you carry, and whether we are co-managing alongside an internal person or running everything. We quote from an assessment, not a phone call, and the agreement runs month to month. What belongs in the monthly fee versus what is billed separately is set out on our managed IT pricing page.
Who this fits, and who it does not
Best fit: 10 to 75 employees, one or two offices plus remote staff, already on Microsoft 365 or ready to move there, and either no internal IT or one person who is underwater.

Managed IT Services in Marietta: FAQs
How does managed IT work for Marietta organizations?
Your staff call, email or message the help desk and reach an engineer who can connect to the device and fix it, any day from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern. Outside those hours NinjaOne monitoring, ThreatDown's response team and the emergency line keep working, and the four severe cases (ransomware, systems down, no internet, email down) go straight to your dedicated engineer. Written commitments give critical issues a ten-minute phone response and a thirty-minute remote response. NetSys does not send technicians to Cobb County, so cabling and other hands-on jobs go to a local contractor while we direct the work.
How much do managed IT services cost in Marietta, GA?
Pricing is per user per month, set after an assessment of your environment rather than read off a rate card. The biggest variables in Marietta tend to be compliance work, such as NIST SP 800-171 documentation for a defense supplier or HIPAA risk analysis support for a practice; servers and specialized machines that need care; the number of locations; and how much your own staff keep. Projects such as replacing a Windows Server 2016 machine before its extended support ends on January 12, 2027 are quoted separately, as are hardware and licenses. Every agreement is month to month.
Is CMMC certification still required for Marietta defense suppliers?
Not as a condition of award for now, but the obligations behind it remain. The Department of War suspended CMMC Phase 2 on July 13, 2026, which had been due to require third-party Level 2 certification from November 10, and put Phases 3 and 4 on hold while a CMMC Reform Task Force reviews the program; its report, due September 11, had not been made public by late October. Level 1 and Level 2 self-assessments, a current SPRS score and affirmation, DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2 all still apply, so the documentation work continues.
Can you work with the IT person we already have?
Yes. Many Marietta firms have someone who knows the ERP or the practice software well and does not want to be on call for everything else. In a co-managed agreement that person keeps the relationships and the line-of-business work, and NetSys takes monitoring, patching, the security stack, backups and after-hours coverage. The split is written into the agreement as a responsibility matrix, so nobody assumes the other side is watching the backups. Our co-managed IT page explains how that matrix is drawn and how tickets move between your person and our engineers.
What happens to our current IT provider when we switch?
We manage the handover so your office does not have to referee it. In the first week we request administrator credentials, domain registrar and DNS access, license records and any existing documentation, then confirm each item ourselves instead of trusting a handover sheet. That audit compares what is deployed with what you pay for, and it regularly finds unused licenses or a backup job that quietly stopped months ago. Cutover happens in stages, about three to four weeks for a 20-seat office, with a rollback step for each change, and the previous provider's access is removed on the final day.
