Managed IT Services in Mountain View, CA
Mountain View's largest employers are Google, Intuit, El Camino Hospital, Microsoft and LinkedIn, and many of the smaller companies around them are startups whose staff expect IT that simply works. NetSys runs managed IT for those startups and for the city's medical and professional offices from Brooklyn, with no long-term contract.
The short answer
NetSys provides managed IT services to Mountain View businesses: a help desk answered by engineers, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration, Intune management for Mac and Windows, continuous monitoring, patching and ThreatDown detection and response, tested backups and vendor management. The fee is per user per month and is set after an assessment. Support comes remotely from Brooklyn, with no NetSys engineers coming to Mountain View offices. Engineers take help desk calls from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time every day, and monitoring and emergency service never stop.

How managed IT is delivered in Mountain View
For a Mountain View company, managed IT is a set of consoles and a phone number. We watch and patch every device through NinjaOne, enforce encryption and updates through Intune, administer Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and run the office firewall and Wi-Fi from the Meraki or Fortinet dashboard. NetSys does not send engineers to Mountain View. A new hire's MacBook or Windows laptop is ordered, enrolled and shipped to their home or the office, and it configures itself at first sign-in. If the company moves, say from Castro Street to East Whisman, the new network equipment arrives configured and your cabling contractor installs it from our diagram. Monitoring runs 24/7 from Brooklyn, and so does emergency service. Our staffed help-desk hours are 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time (1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific), seven days a week. The proposal states severe-incident escalation, authorized remediation and any other after-hours work.
Startups between North Bayshore and East Whisman
Large campuses shape Mountain View's office districts: Google in North Bayshore, and East Whisman, more than 400 acres of low-density office park that the city rezoned in 2019 for offices and housing. Smaller companies fill the downtown blocks around Castro Street and the buildings along El Camino Real and Middlefield Road. Their IT tends to follow one pattern. The founders picked Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, added a dozen SaaS tools and let everyone use whatever laptop they liked. Then a customer sends a security questionnaire and nobody can say who has admin rights. We put things in order: single sign-on through the identity provider, enforced multifactor authentication, managed devices and an inventory of every application that holds customer data.
Medical and professional offices near El Camino Hospital
Not every Mountain View business is a startup. El Camino Hospital is one of the city's largest employers, and the medical, dental and therapy practices around its Grant Road campus and along El Camino Real use the practice's EHR and billing system, e-prescribing, imaging and a patient portal. Those offices answer to the HIPAA Security Rule and California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, so managed IT for them includes access reviews, encrypted devices, audit logs and a documented backup and restore test. Accounting, legal and real estate offices downtown have similar needs with different software, such as tax and practice-management software or a document management system, and a firm-wide rule that client files leave only encrypted.
Storms, outages and an office that does not depend on its building
Mountain View is PG&E territory, and winter storms are the outage risk staff actually notice. Santa Clara County was included in federal disaster declarations for the storms of late December 2022 through January 2023 and again for February to July 2023, and during the January 2023 storm Mountain View police reported downed wires while water flooded the intersection of Phyllis Avenue and El Camino Real. The larger risk is an earthquake, which the USGS forecast treats as likely in the Bay Area within a few decades. We design for both by keeping files and applications in the cloud, giving every laptop what it needs to work from home, putting a UPS and cellular failover on the office network and copying backups to storage outside the region.
From ten people to fifty: what changes as a Mountain View company grows
At ten people, managed IT is mostly setup: accounts, laptops, multifactor sign-in, a password manager and independent backups of the Google or Microsoft tenant. At twenty-five it becomes process: onboarding and offboarding checklists, device policies that pass a customer review, and a help desk staff actually use. At fifty it becomes governance: a written security program, SOC 2 or customer-specific evidence, role-based access, vendor reviews and an IT budget. We keep the same tools from the first stage to the last, so growth means adding policies rather than replacing the stack, and your account manager tells you which stage you are approaching before an investor or an auditor does. Each step up is a scope change we price at the quarterly review, so the fee and the work move together and nothing arrives as a surprise invoice.

Complete managed IT, cybersecurity and help desk for a 20-seat organization
A 20-seat organization handed NetSys the whole of its IT. Devices, network, Microsoft 365 and vendors came under one agreement with 24/7 monitoring and a named account manager; endpoint protection, multifactor authentication, email protection and tested backups went onto all twenty seats; staff got a help desk with engineers on the other end; and every new hire now goes through a defined onboarding process with recurring phishing training. The write-up is limited to the scope delivered, with no outcome figures claimed.

What managed IT costs in Mountain View
Managed IT is priced per user per month for a fully managed agreement, and the number moves with four things more than with headcount: how many servers you run, whether you need after-hours coverage beyond monitoring, how much compliance documentation you carry, and whether we are co-managing alongside an internal person or running everything. We quote from an assessment, not a phone call, and the agreement runs month to month. What belongs in the monthly fee versus what is billed separately is set out on our managed IT pricing page.
Who this fits, and who it does not
Best fit: 10 to 75 employees, one or two offices plus remote staff, already on Microsoft 365 or ready to move there, and either no internal IT or one person who is underwater.

Managed IT Services in Mountain View: FAQs
How does managed IT work for Mountain View organizations?
It is remote and cloud-based. In Mountain View terms, the help desk is staffed from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day (4 a.m. to 11 p.m. in New York), and monitoring and emergency service never stop. Devices, identity and the office network are managed from our Brooklyn office through NinjaOne, Intune and the firewall's cloud console. Nobody is dispatched to Mountain View offices; laptops ship pre-configured and network equipment arrives ready for your staff or cabling contractor to connect. Agreements run month to month.
What do managed IT services cost a Mountain View company?
We quote managed IT as a per-user monthly fee once the assessment is done, and there is no published number. A Mountain View quote depends on how many devices each person carries, whether you run Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or both, how many SaaS applications we administer through single sign-on, whether any servers remain, and how much compliance evidence your customers or a SOC 2 auditor expect. Hardware, licenses and one-time projects, such as a tenant migration, are quoted separately.
Do you manage Google Workspace as well as Microsoft 365?
Yes. Many Mountain View companies started on Google Workspace and stayed. We administer users and groups, Drive sharing rules, context-aware access, mobile device policies and offboarding that removes access the day someone leaves, and we back up the tenant independently. Laptops get the same NinjaOne monitoring, ThreatDown protection and Keeper password management either way. If you decide to move to Microsoft 365, or to run both during an acquisition, we plan and run the migration.
Can you help a Mountain View startup pass SOC 2 or a customer security review?
We handle the IT side of it. SOC 2 is an audit of your controls by a CPA firm, so we cannot certify you, but we can make sure the controls exist and leave evidence: enforced multifactor authentication, managed and encrypted devices, access reviews, logged offboarding, vulnerability scans, training records and tested backups. For customer questionnaires, we draft the technical answers from what is actually configured and point to the documentation in IT Glue. Our SOC 2 readiness service covers the full preparation.
What does a Mountain View managed IT plan include?
Think of it as everything technical except your product. Staff get a help desk answered by engineers. Every Mac and Windows laptop is enrolled in Intune, patched through NinjaOne and protected by ThreatDown and Defender. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 is administered for you, mail is filtered by Barracuda, and the tenant and any servers are backed up with restores tested. The office firewall and Wi-Fi are managed, KnowBe4 training and Keeper passwords are part of it, and your account manager handles vendors and the quarterly budget review.
