IT Services and Cybersecurity Across the Tri-State Area
One provider for an office in Midtown, a warehouse in Secaucus and a branch in Stamford. NetSys supports businesses across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut from a single office in Park Slope: engineers on site within about 50 miles, remote support everywhere else, and one help desk, one security stack and one agreement for every location.
The short answer
NetSys provides managed IT, IT support and cybersecurity across the Tri-State Area from its only office, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Engineers work on site within about 50 miles: New York City, Nassau and western Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland, North and Central Jersey with the northern Jersey Shore, and lower Fairfield County. Towns 50 to 60 miles out get a drive-time check before any visit, and places beyond that, such as the East End, Dutchess County and New Haven, are supported remotely. The help desk is staffed from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern every day. Billing is per user per month, set after an assessment.
- One office, in Brooklyn, NY; on-site coverage reaches about 50 miles, from western Suffolk to Morristown to Norwalk
- Sites 50 to 60 miles out get a drive-time check first; the East End, Dutchess, New Haven and Hartford are supported remotely
- Monitoring and emergency service run 24/7; the help desk is staffed seven days a week from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time
- Month-to-month agreements and 98% client retention
Where on-site support starts and stops
The Tri-State Area means different things to different people, so we draw the line plainly. Our on-site area is about 50 miles from Park Slope. Inside it: all five boroughs; Nassau County and western Suffolk out to roughly the Route 110 corridor and Hauppauge; Westchester and Rockland; Hudson, Bergen, Essex, Union, Passaic, Morris, Middlesex and Somerset counties and the northern Jersey Shore around Red Bank; and Fairfield County as far as Norwalk. Putnam and Orange counties, Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull, Danbury, the Patchogue and Port Jefferson area, Trenton and Toms River sit 50 to 60 miles out, so we confirm drive time before scheduling anything there. The East End of Long Island, Dutchess and Ulster counties, New Haven and Hartford are supported remotely, with equipment shipped pre-configured.
What one provider runs across the region
The core is the same at every location: an engineer-staffed help desk, monitoring and patching for every machine, managed detection and response on each endpoint, administration of Microsoft 365 and the devices that use it, filtered email, immutable backups that are restored on a schedule, phishing training and a password manager. Around that core sit the carriers, copier leases and software vendors behind each office, which we manage so your staff do not have to. Projects run alongside: office moves, network redesigns, Azure and SharePoint migrations, Copilot and custom AI work. Companies with internal IT can choose co-managed IT and keep the parts they want. Everything is documented in IT Glue, and an account manager whose cell number actually reaches them owns the relationship.
Industries that cluster across three states
The region's economy is unusually concentrated. Finance runs from Midtown and Lower Manhattan across the river to the Jersey City waterfront and up to Stamford. New Jersey's pharmaceutical and life-sciences corridor runs through Middlesex and Somerset counties, with Johnson & Johnson headquartered in New Brunswick. The Port of New York and New Jersey, the busiest container port on the East Coast, feeds warehouses from Elizabeth to Secaucus and out across Long Island. Health systems such as Northwell, Hackensack Meridian and NYU Langone anchor large networks of affiliated practices. Law firms, accounting practices and agencies fill office towers in every downtown. Each brings its own core system and its own regulator, and we support the devices, identity, network and security under all of them.
One incident, three state laws
Where your office sits matters less than where the affected people live. A breach at a Manhattan firm with staff in New Jersey and customers in Connecticut can trigger three notice regimes. New York's SHIELD Act calls for notice to residents within 30 days of discovery and to the Attorney General, Department of State and State Police. New Jersey's statute puts the Division of State Police first and customers second. Connecticut's section 36a-701b allows 60 days and wants its Attorney General told no later than residents. DFS-licensed firms add Part 500 wherever their office is. Every incident plan we write carries a per-state notice checklist, and we supply the logs and timeline counsel needs to decide what applies. This is general information, not legal advice.
Storms, smoke and outages the whole region shares
Disasters here cross state lines. Superstorm Sandy brought three federal disaster declarations on the same day, October 30, 2012, one each for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The remnants of Ida in September 2021 led to declarations for New York, including the five boroughs, and for New Jersey, where Hudson, Essex and Union counties were added days after the first list. Smoke from Quebec's wildfires in June 2023 sent New York City's air quality index to 484. Power and transit failures, from the 2019 Con Edison outage on Manhattan's West Side to the 2025 NJ Transit strike, keep people out of offices that are otherwise fine. Our planning assumes any one office can be unreachable: identity and files in the cloud, immutable off-site backups and remote access that has been tested.
Choosing one IT provider for offices in several states
Ask three questions. First, which of your sites are inside the provider's real on-site area, and what happens at the ones that are not; a promise of in-person coverage everywhere often rests on subcontractors. Second, whether every site runs on the same tools, so a problem in Morristown is diagnosed with the same data as one in Manhattan. Third, who owns the vendors at each location, because carriers, landlords and software companies change across state lines. Then check the basics: month-to-month terms, written response commitments, a named account manager and documentation you own. Nearby public incidents, such as the 2022 ransomware attack that kept Suffolk County's systems down for months or the 2024 attack that closed Hoboken City Hall, show what happens when the basics are missing.

Tri-State Area FAQs
Which IT company serves the whole Tri-State Area?
NetSys serves businesses across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut from one office in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and has done so since 1998. We provide managed IT, IT support, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, network security and IT consulting under month-to-month agreements, with 98% client retention. Our engineers are degreed in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or computer science and certified by Cisco and Microsoft. On-site work covers about 50 miles from Brooklyn; the rest of the region is supported remotely.
Do you provide on-site IT support in the Tri-State Area?
Yes, across the part of the region within about 50 miles of our office, which includes New York City, Nassau and western Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland, most of North and Central Jersey and lower Fairfield County. Problems are worked remotely first, and engineers come out for hardware, cabling, networks, moves and new sites. Hoboken, Jersey City and Newark are usually under an hour away by car; Melville, White Plains, Morristown and Stamford take about an hour to an hour and a quarter outside rush hour.
Where exactly does on-site coverage end?
Around 50 miles from Park Slope. Between 50 and 60 miles, in Putnam and Orange counties, Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull, Danbury, the Patchogue and Port Jefferson area, Trenton and Toms River, we support you remotely and confirm drive time before scheduling any visit. Beyond 60 miles, including Riverhead and the East End, Dutchess and Ulster counties, New Haven and Hartford, support is remote only: hardware ships pre-configured through Intune and Windows Autopilot, and your staff or cabling contractor connects it with an engineer on the line.
What does IT support cost across several offices in the region?
Both are billed monthly per user, with the figure set by an assessment rather than a public rate sheet. Headcount and devices drive most of it; the rest depends on how many offices you run, whether any keep their own servers, the security and compliance work involved, and how often each location needs an engineer in person. Build-outs, firewall replacements and migrations are priced as separate projects. All locations sit on one month-to-month agreement, never a long-term contract.
What services do you offer to businesses in the Tri-State Area?
Managed IT and IT support with an engineer-staffed help desk; cybersecurity, including managed detection and response, email security and training; network security for firewalls, Wi-Fi and internet failover; backup and disaster recovery with tested restores; Microsoft 365, Azure and SharePoint work; and IT consulting for assessments, office moves and migrations. We also build AI tools, from Copilot rollouts to custom applications. Our one free offer is an external penetration test, run remotely against a scope we agree with you.
Do you have offices in New Jersey or Connecticut?
No. NetSys works from a single office, 1 Prospect Park SW, Suite 6E, Brooklyn, NY 11215 (main line 845-203-3914). New Jersey and Connecticut sites inside our on-site area are served by engineers traveling from Brooklyn, and everything else is supported remotely with the same tools and the same help desk. We would rather tell you exactly how a site is covered than imply a local office we do not have.
How do we get started?
Book a call with an engineer and list your locations, headcount at each, current providers and the systems you cannot lose. We follow with an assessment, visiting the main office and any site inside the on-site area, and a written proposal that states how each location is supported. Many companies also ask for the free external penetration test, which shows from outside, within an agreed scope, what an attacker would find first.
Send us your locations, and we will show how each one is supported.
List your offices, users and current vendors. An engineer will mark which sites get on-site visits, which need a drive-time check and which run remotely, then price one agreement for all of them.
