IT Support Services
IT support is the part of IT people notice. The NetSys Group provides it as a service with engineers answering the phone, remote monitoring and patching running around the clock, ThreatDown endpoint protection and Intune device management included, and scheduled on-site visits for the work that needs hands. It runs from our Brooklyn office across our named coverage regions and remotely wherever your systems are, month to month.
The short answer
NetSys IT support is a monthly service for businesses with 5 to 75 people: a help desk staffed by engineers and reachable by phone, email and Teams, 24/7 monitoring of every device through NinjaOne, patching and routine maintenance on the schedule set with each client, ThreatDown endpoint detection and Microsoft Defender for Business on every machine, Intune and Windows Autopilot device management, backup checks with tested restores, and vendor coordination. Severe problems such as ransomware, an outage, no internet or email down get an immediate response from your dedicated engineer, and everything else is worked by severity. On-site work is routine across the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut; outside the tri-state area, on-site commitments are arranged in advance and sized to the engagement. Every agreement is month to month.
Most businesses come to us from one of two places: a break-fix technician who bills by the hour and appears once something is already down, or one internal person who has become the help desk by default and cannot take a vacation. Both leave the same gaps. Nobody watches the monitoring, nobody tests the backups, new hires wait a week for a laptop, and the passwords live in a spreadsheet.
The service closes those gaps with the same tools our managed IT clients get: NinjaOne for monitoring, patching and remote support, IT Glue for documentation, Intune and Windows Autopilot for devices, ThreatDown and Defender for endpoint protection, Keeper for passwords. The help desk is staffed by engineers who already know your environment, and the monthly report says what was fixed, what was patched and what is waiting on a decision.
How support runs day to day
A ticket comes in by phone, email or Teams and an engineer works it, remotely first through NinjaOne with screen-sharing the user approves, on site when the problem needs hands. Severity decides the response: ransomware, systems down, no internet or email that has stopped working goes straight to your dedicated engineer, and the rest is scheduled by how many people it affects. Behind the desk, monitoring watches every device around the clock so disk, backup and security problems become tickets before anyone calls. New hires and departures follow a checklist agreed with your office manager or HR, covering accounts, devices, access and the return of hardware.
What IT Support Includes
The Help Desk
Engineers on the line, and an immediate response when something severe breaks.
- Phone, email and Teams support from engineers rather than a tier-one queue
- Remote resolution through NinjaOne, with on-site visits scheduled for hardware and network work
- Microsoft 365, Windows and Mac support, including the line-of-business apps your staff run
- New-hire setup and departure offboarding through a written checklist
Monitoring and Patching
Problems caught before they become calls.
- 24/7 monitoring of every workstation, server and firewall
- Patching and routine maintenance on the schedule your business sets, weekly for some clients and quarterly for others, with urgent fixes applied as needed
- Backup checks with restores actually run and the result recorded
- A monthly report of tickets, patches and open decisions in plain language
Security Basics, Included
Not an add-on.
- ThreatDown EDR and Microsoft Defender for Business on every device
- Multifactor authentication and Entra ID Conditional Access across Microsoft 365
- Intune device compliance so a lost or unpatched laptop cannot reach company email
- Keeper password management for every user
Devices and Vendors
The parts that get forgotten.
- Intune and Windows Autopilot, so a new laptop ships sealed and configures itself at first sign-in
- Printer, scanner and conference-room support, including the vendors behind them
- ISP, phone and software vendor coordination with one number to call
- Hardware lifecycle planning so replacements are budgeted rather than emergencies

IT Support FAQs
What is the difference between IT support and managed IT services?
IT support is the help desk, monitoring, patching and device management that keep people working. Managed IT services add the strategy layer: a quarterly technology review, a written roadmap and budget, vendor management and project planning. Many businesses start with support and grow into the managed agreement; the tools and the engineers are the same.
How fast do you respond?
Immediately, when the problem is severe: ransomware, systems down, no internet or email that has stopped working goes straight to your dedicated engineer. Everything else is worked by severity, so something that stops a person working is treated differently from a request to add a printer. Monitoring means many problems are worked before anyone calls.
Do you come on site?
Yes, when the work needs hands. Across the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut that is routine scheduling from our Brooklyn office. Outside the tri-state area, on-site commitments are arranged in advance and sized to the engagement: a mostly remote engagement needs no dedicated on-site engineer, and where regular presence is part of the scope a dedicated engineer is assigned, with a drive time that is generally under an hour. The proposal states the arrangement in writing.
Is there a minimum number of users?
No fixed minimum. Our published five-person office engagement is a support agreement sized for a very small business. The scope is written to what you need, and the agreement runs month to month.
Which tools do you use?
NinjaOne for monitoring, patching and remote support; IT Glue for documentation; Intune and Windows Autopilot for devices; ThreatDown and Microsoft Defender for Business for endpoint protection; Barracuda for email protection; Keeper for passwords. Licensing for those tools is included in the agreement.
Can you support staff who work from home?
Yes. Remote staff get the same help desk, the same Intune-managed device and the same security stack, with secure access to office systems built in rather than bolted on.
