IT Support in Dallas
NetSys provides IT support to businesses in Dallas: a help desk staffed by engineers, 24/7 monitoring behind it, patching and device management that happen without anyone remembering, and on-site work when hands are needed. Since 1998, month to month. Dallas is served from Brooklyn, one hour behind us on Central time. Monitoring, help desk and remediation run remotely around the clock from Brooklyn, with coverage hours stated in Central time in the proposal. On-site commitments are arranged in advance and sized to the engagement. Most clients run between 10 and 75 seats, and every agreement is month to month.
The short answer
NetSys provides IT support to businesses in Dallas: a help desk staffed by engineers, remote and on-site support, 24/7 monitoring, patching, device management through Intune, endpoint protection and backup checks, for a monthly fee per user. Delivery is remote-first from Brooklyn, with coverage hours stated in Central time, and on-site commitments are arranged in advance and sized to the engagement, up to a dedicated engineer with a drive time generally under an hour where regular presence is part of the scope. How IT support is delivered in Dallas
Dallas is served from Brooklyn, one hour behind us on Central time. Monitoring, help desk and remediation run remotely around the clock from Brooklyn, with coverage hours stated in Central time in the proposal. On-site commitments outside the tri-state area are arranged in advance and sized to the engagement: a mostly remote engagement needs no dedicated on-site engineer, while an engagement that calls for regular presence, such as a standing on-site day or two each week, gets a dedicated engineer whose drive time is generally under an hour, depending on where that engineer and your office are. Hardware ships pre-configured, so most projects need no visit at all. The buildings decide a lot of the design. Uptown and Las Colinas towers have carrier choice, but Plano and Frisco office parks are often single-circuit AT&T or Spectrum, and the metro's sprawl means a technician visit is a half-day, which is why shipped, pre-configured hardware and remote management carry most of the work. The carriers we see most in Dallas are AT&T Business Fiber, Spectrum Business and Frontier Fiber, and the failover design starts with which of them actually reach your building.
Who IT support in Dallas is built for
Most of our Dallas work sits in Uptown, the Design District, Plano, Las Colinas and Frisco: financial and insurance firms on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, commercial real estate firms on Yardi Voyager, medical practices on eClinicalWorks, law firms on NetDocuments, logistics and distribution companies on Manhattan Active, and professional firms on QuickBooks Online. Each carries its own compliance load, which the section below covers, and each has a line-of-business vendor we coordinate with rather than work around. Companies with an internal IT person fit too; in that case we supply the monitoring, the security stack and the after-hours coverage behind them, and they keep their projects.
What tends to go wrong in Dallas
Two things shape the continuity design here. First, the weather and the grid: the February 2021 ERCOT grid failure left offices without power for days, and spring tornado season closes buildings without warning, so UPS runtime, cellular failover and out-of-state backups are the design case. Second, the attacks that actually land locally are ordinary ones, and the public record shows how they go: the May 2023 Royal ransomware attack on the City of Dallas, which took police, courts and 311 systems offline for weeks and, by the city's own after-action report, exposed the data of more than 30,000 people. The controls in the next section are the ones that would have changed those stories.
IT Support in Dallas: what NetSys delivers
Support people use
- A help desk that answers the phone with an engineer, and a dedicated engineer who responds immediately when systems, internet or email go down
- Remote support through NinjaOne for most problems and scheduled on-site visits for the ones that need hands
- Microsoft 365, Windows and Mac support, including the applications your business actually runs
- Account, device and access setup for every new hire, and a clean offboarding for every departure
Prevention, not just repair
- Round-the-clock monitoring with alerts an engineer works, so disk, backup and security problems are caught early
- Patch management on a maintenance schedule set with you, weekly or quarterly as the business prefers, with a report of what was applied
- ThreatDown EDR and Microsoft Defender for Business on every device, included in the support fee
- Intune device compliance so a lost or unpatched laptop cannot reach company email
Everything else
- Vendor coordination for printers, phones, ISPs and line-of-business software
- Backup monitoring with scheduled restore tests and a written result
- Multifactor authentication and Keeper password management for every user
- A monthly summary of tickets, patches and open decisions, in plain language
A 45-person law firm in Plano
The specific engagements behind this profile are under NDA, so it is written as a generalization rather than a named client. Our published, client-approved outcomes are in case studies.
A 45-seat law firms in Plano where the owner is the help desk. The break-fix provider bills by the hour and appears only after something is already down. Devices are a mix of Windows and Mac bought one at a time, NetDocuments runs in the cloud with a shared login, backups are a USB drive in a desk, and the Wi-Fi password is the one the Spectrum Business installer set.
- Printers, scanners and the conference room brought onto their own network segment with vendor support contracts recorded
- Barracuda Email Protection placed in front of the mailboxes and DMARC enforced for the domain
- Every device, account and vendor documented in IT Glue in the first two weeks, with the spreadsheet of passwords retired into Keeper
- ThreatDown EDR and Microsoft Defender for Business deployed to every device, replacing the antivirus that came with the laptops
- Microsoft 365 hygiene pass: dormant accounts closed, shared mailboxes sorted, multifactor authentication enforced through Entra ID Conditional Access
- An onboarding and offboarding checklist agreed with HR, covering accounts, devices, access and hardware return
Staff call a help desk that fixes things, new hires start with a working laptop, and the owner stops being the last line of support. The monitoring is watched by a person and the backups restore on schedule. The agreement runs month to month.
Complete managed IT, cybersecurity and help desk for a 20-seat organization
At twenty seats a business is big enough that IT problems cost real time and small enough that nobody is paid to own them. NetSys brought devices, network, Microsoft 365 and vendors under one agreement with 24/7 monitoring and a named account manager, deployed endpoint protection, multifactor authentication, email protection and tested backups across all twenty seats, gave staff a help desk with engineers on the other end, and put every new hire through a defined onboarding process with recurring phishing training. The write-up is limited to the scope delivered, with no outcome figures claimed.
Compliance in Dallas: § 521.053 and what sits on top of it
If you hold personal information on a resident of Texas, Texas Business and Commerce Code § 521.053 requires notice to affected residents within 60 days of determining a breach occurred and, when 250 or more Texans are affected, notice to the Attorney General within 30 days. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, in force since July 1, 2024, adds data-protection assessments and consumer rights for businesses above the small-business threshold, and Texas HB 300 tightens health-information handling beyond HIPAA. Healthcare practices carry HIPAA and HB 300, energy and industrial firms answer to customer and insurer questionnaires, and defense suppliers face CMMC 2.0. The support agreement keeps the day-to-day evidence current: who has access, what was patched, whether the backups restored and how a departure was closed out. Most firms we take over have none of it documented, which is the part that matters if you ever have to demonstrate compliance, so the documentation is built during onboarding rather than sold as a separate project.
What IT support costs in Dallas
IT support is priced per user per month, and the number moves with how much on-site time you need, whether after-hours coverage goes beyond monitoring, how many servers and specialized applications are in scope, and whether security tooling is already licensed or comes from us. Per-device pricing suits crews that share hardware. We quote from a short assessment, and the agreement runs month to month. Our managed IT pricing page sets out what sits inside the fee.
Who this fits, and who it does not
Best fit: 5 to 75 employees, mostly on Microsoft 365, with staff who need someone to call and nobody on payroll whose job is IT, or one person who needs a bench behind them.
Not a fit: businesses that want a technician on the payroll full time, or offices that need an engineer physically present every day. Support is remote-first with on-site work arranged in advance, and that suits most businesses under 75 people.

IT Support in Dallas: FAQs
How fast will someone respond?
Immediately, when the problem is severe: ransomware, systems down, no internet or email that has stopped working goes straight to your dedicated engineer. Everything else is worked by severity, so a person who cannot work is treated differently from a request to add a printer. Monitoring means many problems are worked before anyone calls.
How much does IT support cost in Dallas?
It is quoted per user per month from a short assessment, and the drivers are on-site time, after-hours coverage, server count and specialized applications rather than headcount alone. Our managed IT pricing page explains what is inside the fee and what is billed separately, so quotes can be compared on the same basis.
Is there a minimum number of users?
No fixed minimum. Our five-person case study is a support agreement sized for a very small office. The scope is written to what you need, and the agreement runs month to month.
Do you have an office in Dallas?
Our office is in Brooklyn, NY. Dallas is served from Brooklyn, one hour behind us on Central time. Outside the tri-state area the on-site arrangement is agreed before the engagement starts and sized to what it needs: none for a mostly remote account, and a dedicated engineer, generally within an hour's drive, where regular presence such as a standing on-site day or two each week is part of the scope. The proposal states that arrangement, coverage hours in Central time and any travel in writing, and the agreement runs month to month.
What does Texas require after a data breach?
§ 521.053 gives a business 60 days from determining a breach occurred to notify affected residents, and 250 or more affected Texans means the Attorney General must be told within 30 days. Texas HB 300 adds stricter rules for health information. Logs, encryption and a written response plan are how a small business meets the deadlines.
