IT Support in Nassau County, NY

For Nassau offices where one locked account or a dead laptop stops a client meeting: law and CPA practices near the Mineola courts, medical and wealth-management offices in Great Neck and Lake Success, and family businesses from Valley Stream to Massapequa. NetSys answers the phone, fixes the device and the account, and sends an engineer from Brooklyn when the fix needs hands.

The short answer

NetSys provides IT support across Nassau County: a help desk that picks up seven days a week from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern, remote fixes for computers, printers, phones and Microsoft 365 accounts, setup and retirement of devices, and on-site work by engineers from our Brooklyn office when hardware or cabling is involved. Critical issues get a phone response within ten minutes and remote work within thirty. Most of the county is 35 to 55 minutes from Park Slope in light traffic. Support is billed per user each month, priced after an assessment, with no long-term contract.

How IT support is delivered across Nassau County

A call to the help desk reaches an engineer who can take control of the computer, reset the account or push a fix through NinjaOne while the user is still on the line. That handles the large majority of tickets. When something physical is wrong, an engineer drives out from our Park Slope office. Without traffic, Rockville Centre is about 30 minutes away, Garden City, Mineola and Uniondale about 40, and Jericho or Glen Cove closer to 55; rush hour adds to all of them. On-site jobs include a printer or docking station that will not cooperate, a failed switch, new-hire desk setups, cabling after a renovation and office moves. Anything severe, such as ransomware, a site with no internet or email down for everyone, goes directly to the engineer assigned to your account. Monitoring runs 24/7 from Brooklyn, and so does emergency service. Our staffed help-desk hours are 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time, seven days a week. The proposal states severe-incident escalation, authorized remediation and any other after-hours work.

What Nassau staff call the help desk about

The tickets are rarely dramatic, but each one stops somebody working. A paralegal gets a new phone and can no longer approve multifactor prompts. A billing coordinator's scanner stops emailing PDFs after a password change. A shared mailbox vanishes from Outlook, a label printer at a medical front desk prints blanks, a VPN refuses a connection from home, or the practice software throws an error after an update. We fix what is ours and, for the line-of-business application, open the ticket with the vendor and stay on it until it is solved, so your staff do not spend an afternoon on hold. New hires get accounts, a configured laptop and the right permissions before their first morning, and leavers lose access the day they go.

Supporting staff who split time between Nassau, the city and home

Nassau's workforce moves. Many staff ride the Long Island Rail Road, whose third track between Floral Park and Hicksville was finished in October 2022, and plenty work from home in Merrick, Massapequa or Port Washington two days a week. Support has to follow them. Laptops are enrolled in Intune and Windows Autopilot, so a replacement can be shipped to a house, signed into by the employee and configured automatically with their apps and settings. Files live in OneDrive and SharePoint instead of on a single office server. When Isaias knocked out electricity across Long Island in August 2020, the offices that kept working were the ones whose people could pick up a laptop and connect from wherever the lights were on.

Response commitments and escalation

Our managed agreements put response times in writing. A critical issue, meaning a person or a team that cannot work, gets a phone response within ten minutes and an engineer working remotely within thirty. A standard request gets a phone response within thirty minutes and remote work within an hour. Severe incidents bypass the queue entirely and go to the engineer who knows your environment. Every client has an account manager reachable on a real cell phone, so an owner who is unhappy with how a ticket went can call one person instead of opening another ticket. Because agreements are month to month, the help desk has to earn the next month, which is one reason 98% of our clients stay.

Devices, Windows 10 and planned replacement

Windows 10 stopped receiving security updates on October 14, 2025, and some Nassau offices still have machines running it at the front desk or in a back room. Those computers keep working, which is the problem: nothing warns staff that they are now unpatched. Windows Server 2016 follows on January 12, 2027. We keep an inventory of every device with its age, warranty and operating system, flag what needs replacement, and schedule swaps before a failure forces one. New machines arrive configured through Autopilot. Retired ones are wiped so the data cannot be read or reconstructed, which is how the New York Attorney General describes proper disposal under the SHIELD Act, and licensed insurance agencies covered by NYDFS Part 500 get the documented asset inventory its November 2025 phase calls for.

Firewall, antivirus and maintenance for a five-person office

Not every engagement is a transformation. A five-person office ran on the router the internet provider supplied, whatever antivirus came with the laptops and updates that happened when someone remembered. NetSys replaced the router with a business-grade firewall configured with sensible rules, secure remote access and logging, deployed managed antivirus on every machine with updates and alerts handled centrally, and put patching, backup checks and health reviews on a schedule. The agreement covers what a five-person office needs and nothing it does not, month to month. No outcome figures were measured for publication.

What IT support costs in Nassau County

IT support is priced per user per month, and the number moves with how much on-site time you need, whether after-hours coverage goes beyond monitoring, how many servers and specialized applications are in scope, and whether security tooling is already licensed or comes from us. Per-device pricing suits crews that share hardware. We quote from a short assessment, and the agreement runs month to month. Our managed IT pricing page sets out what sits inside the fee.

How the monthly fee is built

Who this fits, and who it does not

Best fit: 5 to 75 employees, mostly on Microsoft 365, with staff who need someone to call and nobody on payroll whose job is IT, or one person who needs a bench behind them.

Common Questions

IT Support in Nassau County: FAQs

Do you provide on-site IT support in Nassau County?

Yes. Every town in Nassau County falls within our in-person service area. Remote support comes first because it is fastest, and most issues are solved within the first call. When a fix needs hands, such as replacing hardware, tracing a network fault, running cable or setting up a new office, an engineer comes to you, whether you are in Valley Stream, Garden City, Great Neck or Oyster Bay. Between visits, monitoring keeps watch on every device.

How much does IT support cost in Nassau County?

You pay a monthly fee for each user, which we set after looking at your environment; there is no public price list. It depends on headcount and devices, whether there are servers or specialized systems to look after, how many locations need support, and how much of your security and backup already meets the standard. Agreements are month to month, so there is no long-term contract. Larger projects, like an office relocation, are quoted separately.

How fast does the help desk respond to an office in Nassau County?

Critical issues get a phone response within ten minutes and a remote response within thirty minutes. Standard requests get a phone response within thirty minutes and remote work within an hour. People answer the help desk every day from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern; overnight, monitoring and emergency service carry on, so a server that fails overnight is already being worked on when your staff arrive. Ransomware, internet outages and email failures go straight to your dedicated engineer.

Can you support a small office with no IT person?

Yes. A small Nassau office often has one person who became the computer expert by accident and now loses hours each week to it. We take that load off entirely: staff call our help desk, devices are monitored and patched automatically, and the owner gets one bill and one account manager. Small offices also tend to have the weakest basics, so we replace consumer routers and unmanaged antivirus early.

We have an internal IT person. Can co-managed support work for us?

Yes, through co-managed IT. Your IT person keeps the work they know best, often vendor relationships and the line-of-business software, while we take monitoring, patching, security tooling, after-hours coverage and the overflow tickets. Responsibilities are written down so nothing falls between the two teams. It also gives your staff member a group of engineers to escalate to, and coverage when they go on vacation, without replacing anyone.
