Managed IT Services in The Woodlands, TX

A managed IT plan makes one company responsible for every piece of your technology: computers, Microsoft 365, security, backups, the network and the vendors behind them. NetSys takes on that responsibility for Woodlands businesses remotely from Brooklyn, documents everything it touches, and charges one per-user monthly fee on an agreement you can leave in any month.

The short answer

NetSys delivers managed IT services to businesses in The Woodlands, Texas: round-the-clock monitoring and patching through NinjaOne, ThreatDown managed detection and response, Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID administration, Barracuda email protection, Datto or Veeam backups with restore tests, firewall management, vendor management and the help desk. All of it runs remotely and in the cloud, with no engineer visits to Woodlands offices. The help desk has engineers on it from 3 a.m. to 10 p.m. Central on every day of the week, monitoring and emergency service never stop, and the per-user monthly fee comes out of an assessment, with no long-term contract.

How managed IT is delivered in The Woodlands

The whole service runs over the network from our Brooklyn office. NinjaOne agents report the health of every computer and server, the firewall and switches are managed in their cloud consoles, and Microsoft 365 is administered through your tenant, so an engineer can see a failing disk or a suspicious sign-in before anyone in the office does. There are no NetSys field engineers in Texas, and none are sent on site. New laptops ship from the distributor enrolled in Windows Autopilot and Intune, and network equipment arrives with its configuration loaded and its ports labeled. Your office manager or cabling contractor does the physical installation with an engineer on the phone, and we confirm everything from the console before the call ends. Monitoring runs 24/7 from Brooklyn, and so does emergency service. Our staffed help-desk hours are 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time (3 a.m. to 10 p.m. Central), seven days a week. The proposal states severe-incident escalation, authorized remediation and any other after-hours work.

What a managed IT plan covers, and what it does not

The monthly fee covers the running of your environment: monitoring and overnight patching, ThreatDown endpoint detection with analysts reviewing alerts, Microsoft Defender for Business, Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID administration with Conditional Access, Barracuda email filtering, KnowBe4 phishing training, Keeper password management, Datto SIRIS or Veeam backups with restore tests, firewall and Wi-Fi management, the help desk, and IT Glue documentation of all of it. It also covers vendor management, quarterly reviews with your account manager and a written technology plan. Hardware, software licenses and projects, such as a server migration, a new office build-out or a Copilot rollout, are quoted separately after scoping. Rapid7 InsightVM scanning and compliance documentation can be added when a client contract or a regulator asks for them.

Woodlands companies and the systems they run

The local economy is broader than its energy reputation. Chemical and energy headquarters such as Huntsman and Chevron Phillips Chemical support a ring of engineering, environmental and supply firms that run an ERP or project-accounting system and trade large drawings with clients. Health care, the largest share of major-employer jobs in the area's 2025 economic report, brings medical and specialty practices that depend on an EHR and billing system. Banking and wealth management, anchored by Woodforest National Bank's headquarters, add custodial and CRM platforms under SEC or banking oversight. Law firms that practice in the Montgomery County courts in Conroe depend on a document management system, and the township's office buildings also house accountants, insurance agencies and title companies. Managed IT means we learn the system each business depends on, keep everything beneath it healthy, and handle that vendor's support line for you.

Circuits, buildings and Gulf Coast weather

Office space in The Woodlands ranges from towers at Hughes Landing and along the Waterway to low-rise medical and flex buildings off Research Forest Drive and I-45, and internet options differ building by building. Options to check at your address include AT&T Business Fiber, Comcast Business and Consolidated Communications, and we confirm what is actually available before recommending anything. A managed plan pairs the primary circuit with a second path, often cellular, and a Meraki or Fortinet firewall that fails over automatically. The weather case is concrete: Harvey pushed Spring Creek to historic levels in 2017, and in July 2024 Beryl left Entergy restoring service across Montgomery County for a week. Server closets get battery backup with clean automatic shutdown, critical data lives in Microsoft 365 or Azure, and backup copies are kept in a region a Gulf storm cannot reach.

Vendor management and the Windows Server 2016 deadline

A large part of managed IT is managing other companies. We keep a vendor list in IT Glue with account numbers, support contacts and contract dates for your internet provider, phone system, copier lessor, software vendors and the electrician who wired the office, and we make the calls when something breaks. That also means tracking what is going out of support. Microsoft ends extended support for Windows Server 2016 on January 12, 2027, and many small offices still have a server running it, often hosting a file share, an accounting database or an older line-of-business application. We list every affected server in the first month, ask each software vendor what it supports next, and plan the move to a current Windows Server release, Azure or Microsoft 365 before the date, so security patches never stop.

Published case study

Law office: Microsoft 365 with layered security and cloud-to-cloud backup

A 25-attorney firm in the greater New York metro was losing unbillable hours to an outdated file server and an email server that needed weekly attention. NetSys mapped the firm's matters and document workflows first, moved email to Exchange Online and documents to SharePoint and OneDrive in a matter-based structure over a weekend cut-over, layered anti-phishing protection, DNS filtering, multifactor authentication and endpoint protection across attorney devices, and set independent cloud-to-cloud backup of the whole tenant. The firm reported 82% fewer IT support incidents per month within two quarters and about 3.5 hours per attorney per week recovered from IT friction.

What managed IT costs in The Woodlands

Managed IT is priced per user per month for a fully managed agreement, and the number moves with four things more than with headcount: how many servers you run, whether you need after-hours coverage beyond monitoring, how much compliance documentation you carry, and whether we are co-managing alongside an internal person or running everything. We quote from an assessment, not a phone call, and the agreement runs month to month. What belongs in the monthly fee versus what is billed separately is set out on our managed IT pricing page.

How the monthly fee is built

Who this fits, and who it does not

Best fit: 10 to 75 employees, one or two offices plus remote staff, already on Microsoft 365 or ready to move there, and either no internal IT or one person who is underwater.

Common Questions

Managed IT Services in The Woodlands: FAQs

How does managed IT work for The Woodlands organizations?

We take responsibility for the whole environment and run it remotely from Brooklyn. Agents on every computer report to our monitoring, the firewall and Microsoft 365 are administered from our consoles, and IT Glue holds the documentation. NetSys does not send engineers to Woodlands offices; equipment ships pre-configured and your staff or cabling contractor installs it with an engineer on the phone. Engineers answer the help desk from 3 a.m. to 10 p.m. Central every day, and a dedicated account manager reviews the plan with you each quarter.

How much do managed IT services cost in The Woodlands?

Managed IT is a per-user monthly fee, and we set it after an assessment instead of quoting from a list. The fee rises or falls with the number of users and devices, how many servers you still run, how many locations and circuits we manage, whether you need Rapid7 scanning or compliance documentation, and whether an in-house IT person shares the work. Hardware, licenses and projects are priced separately after scoping, and the managed IT pricing page explains what sits inside the fee.

What happens if we decide to leave?

Agreements are month to month, so you give notice and we hand over cleanly. That means the IT Glue documentation exported for you, admin credentials transferred through Keeper, Microsoft 365 and domain ownership confirmed in your name, and our agents and tools removed in an orderly way so nothing breaks during the switch. We would rather keep clients because the service is good, which is why 98% of them stay, than because leaving is hard.

How do you handle cybersecurity under a managed plan?

Security is built in rather than sold as an add-on. ThreatDown endpoint detection and response watches every computer, with analysts acting on alerts at any hour, and Microsoft Defender for Business adds another layer. Conditional Access and multifactor sign-in protect Microsoft 365, Barracuda filters email, KnowBe4 trains staff, Keeper replaces shared passwords, and immutable backups mean ransomware is a recovery job rather than a ransom decision. In three years we have handled more than 30 ransomware incidents, and every client got its data back.

What Texas rules does a managed IT plan help with?

Three come up most for Woodlands businesses. Business and Commerce Code 521.052 expects reasonable procedures to protect sensitive personal information, which a managed plan documents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, applies to companies that are not small under the SBA's definition. And SB 2610, effective September 1, 2025, can shield businesses with fewer than 250 employees from exemplary damages after a breach if their program follows a recognized framework, which we map your controls to. This is general information, not legal advice.
