The first visit produces a map: every device, every uplink, every circuit, and the credentials for all of it stored in a password vault the business owns. We then bring the equipment to a standard, replacing consumer gear and unmanaged switches in a planned order, and we segment the network so cameras, guests and payment devices cannot see the servers. Wi-Fi is designed from a survey of the actual floor plan. Failover is tested by pulling the primary circuit, on purpose, while people are working.

What do managed network services include?

Design and documentation of the network, management of firewalls, switches and Wi-Fi, firmware patching, 24/7 monitoring with alerts, configuration backups, internet failover, and coordination with carriers when a circuit fails. At NetSys it is part of the all-inclusive managed IT agreement rather than a separate contract, so the engineer who fixes a switch is the one who answers the help desk. Hardware is quoted separately when replacement is needed.

Do we need managed network services if we only have a small office?

Small offices lose the same amount of work per hour of outage as large ones, and they usually have less redundancy. A firm of fifteen people with a single consumer router and no failover is one carrier fault away from a lost day. Managed network services scale down well: a proper firewall, a managed switch, two or three access points and a cellular backup cover most small offices, and the monitoring costs nothing extra under a managed agreement.

How do you design business Wi-Fi so it works everywhere?

We start with the floor plan and a walk-through, measuring signal behind walls, in conference rooms and in the corners where people say it never works. Access points are placed and powered from that survey, staff and guest traffic are separated, and company devices authenticate with certificates instead of a shared password. What is ISP failover and do we need it?

Internet failover is a second path to the internet, from another carrier or over cellular, that traffic switches to automatically when the primary circuit fails. Any business that runs phones, payments or cloud applications over one line needs it, because those systems stop when the line does. We size the backup for the applications that must keep working, prioritize voice on it, and test it under load before relying on it.

How does 24/7 network monitoring work?

Every switch, firewall, access point and circuit reports to our monitoring platform, which watches for link failures, high error rates, unusual traffic and devices that appear where they should not. Alerts go to the engineer on duty, who often resolves the fault before staff notice it. Monitoring also keeps a history of bandwidth and latency, which is what ends a dispute with a carrier about whether the circuit was slow.

Can NetSys manage networks in multiple offices?

Yes. Multi-site networks are joined by SD-WAN or site-to-site VPN so that each office reaches shared systems and the others without exposing anything to the internet. All sites appear in one monitoring view with one set of standards.
